Received check in the mail for $2,350.00 with an Award Notification letter stating that I was a "3rd tier winner" in the "North American Prize Pool" for $45,000.00. Jason Appel stated that this initial check was to cover "administrative payment and clearance fees" for my winnings. "Lidia Brooks' was listed as the North American agent I was to contact at 1-780-709-1894. I was given a dealine in which to respond.
I called the above number and was told to deposit this check in my account and once the funds were available to send a Moneygram in the amount of $2,250.00 to this address: 7 Clark Ave., Thornehill, Ontario, Canada L3T1S4.
I had already checked this site and found another complaint. I called the Bank on the check "PNC Bank" and gave them the information. They asked me to contact the name on the check which was Allied Barton Security Services at 610-239-1100 and was told they had had checks stolen and that this was a fraud! I then reported this to the USPS hotline.
Are there others out there that have received this bogus check? Please don't let them get away with hurting people like this!

Payment Logistics is a real company and has nothing to do with this scam. Whoever these scammers are that are the cause of these complaints are attempting to use the names of unrelated legitimate businesses. Payment Logistics is bona fide merchant services provider and maintains an excellent reputation with its clients, agents, employees and vendors. It is unfortunate that many Rip Off Report posts (all relating to this scam) are using our company's name in the title. We would appreciate any posters refrain from using Payment Logistics' name unless you have an actual complaint with our company as these posts are damaging to our brand. We believe all posters have noble intentions and do not want to damage a legitimate unrelated business which is exactly what Payment Logistics is. Our url is www.paymentlogistics.com and our toll free support number is 888.624.3687. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

You did the right thing.
SOMEBODY in that company KNEW something...
Thank you for substantiating some of the things I have been saying about them for years.
If you hadn't sent the money it, I bet they would have been QUIET enough about it.
The thing is, where would your money have gone if you had been dumb enough to send it in and WHO would have ultimayrlhyreceived it IF it was actually going to an address at Allied-Spectraguard-Barton???
ANYBODY WANT TO WORK FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE THESE PROBLEMS IN THEIR SECURITY COMPANY?
IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE A SECURITY COMPANY! AND THEY ARE GETTING CHECKS AND OTHER CLASSIFIED THINGS STOLEN FROM THEM??????
WHO WANTS TO HIRE THIS COMPANY TO GUARD YOUR VALUABLE ASSETS?
