I have to share this because I am extremely upset about this. Last year, I signed up to sell Avon, which most/some of you know. In July, there was an attempted scam towards me. I ordered the makeup, but as soon as I did I realized it was a ...scam. I had to call Avon and get a label sent to me in order to return the items. I had also ordered a few other products, but I could not pay for it until this was corrected. I never received a corrected bill and honestly forgot about the whole situation until today.
I just received a call from Allied Data stating I owed a balance. When I attempted to explain the situation to the rep, she was neither understanding nor cared to attempt to resolve it. She just asked me if I had called Avon to clear it up. She then tried to move forward with a payment plan. When I told her that I would not be making a payment until this was resolved, she goes "Ok, I'll notate you are refusing to pay" and she hung up on me.
I got online to look up the number for the collection agency and I found the link below. It is obvious that a call to complain about the rep is useless and even almost a year later, I am still willing to pay for the items I received, but I would like either the products I returned back or a credit issued for them. I just emailed my area manager in hopes that either she can fix it or direct me where to fix it, but I would never recommend this company to someone else. If you are already a rep please be very careful about your dealings with this company.
Please note, Not all Multi-Level Marketing Companies operate this way. do believe most are legit, just don't appreciate the way Avon treats it's reps.
