had dish put in on the 5/13/2008 disconnect on 9/1/2008 the reason i did that i had dish network service for all most 4 mo all that time i had trouble with it after about 4 mo dish said the satellite need to be set again so they set up a time to come out then waited at home all day got tired of wating so i called dish and they told me it would be 2 weeks later well that did it so i disconnect it this is what they had to say we are sending this letter because of a violation made to the terms and conditions you agreed to befor receiving your dish network system.the violation is that the person that activated the system did not maintain qualifying service for the full 24 consecutive months as required see copy of the attached terms and conditions as a reference.dish network says that you activated service 5/13/2008and then your service was deactivated due to voluntary disconnect on 9/1/2008as a result you now owe 295.00 for the violation without exception you must contact allsat via emall at cancellation@allsat.com by 10/8/2008 if you do not contact us and make payment by 10/08/2008 then the open balance on your account will be turned over to our collection agency for the full amount of 295.plus collection cost .and it will also be sent to national credit reporting agencies which will adversely affect your credit please remit payment to address above respectfully allsat inc www.allsat.com /terms ps i can not get a number to call allsat all i can get is a fax number 877 425 5728

the installer should have had you sign a contract . right after he finished the install and going over the operation of the equipment. you should of had a chance to read it before signing it. did you read the contract before signing it. plus did you receive a copy of the contract. understanding is a 2 way street. i understand the frustration in getting the equipment serviced. most people dont ask about the warranty. i had one guy tell me he didnt give a rats a@# about the warranty. the dealer is required to give a 6 month installation warranty. i give a 1 year installation warranty and put it in writting. then 8 months into the contract then the customer starts getting charged for the dhpp warranty. in the end they should have explained things better and you should have read them before signing.
