May 2011, I was purchasing a home - second home.  I contacted my insurance agent - Allstate - David Crownover's office to have them quote me a premium.  Carla Rosenthal in the office told me they did not write insurance binders and furthermore, it would take 10-14 days to get the home inspected.  I was closing in 3 days.  I then contacted my realtor who referred me to another Allstate agency in River Oaks, TX - Amaya Premier Agency.  Both of these agents are with Allstate.  Maria wrote the binder - faxed over to the closing office with 3 conditions of repair.

1.  Roof needs replaced
and trees trimmed from the roof
2.  roof needs repaired and limb debris cleared from roof
3.  facia, soffet and eves need painted.

Not only did I replace the roof, trim the trees - cut down 2 very large trees that were too close to the house, put on a new roof, replaced all of the rotted facia, soffet and eve boards, placed a 7' curb of concrete along the back of the house to prevent further water damage to the back bathroom, placed a 20 x 15 foot 12" concrete slab by the back sliding glass door to prevent further water damage from future rains, leveled the entire structure, replaced much damaged, rotted wood from inside and outside.

First it was like pulling teeth to get anything out of Maria Amaya agency in River Oaks, TX as far as what exactly needed to be done.  Second Samantha in that office finally sent me pictures with the above 1, 2 3 short list - of which 1 and 2 are identical.

I then began receiving calls 2 weeks later from Carla with David Crownover's office Allstate in Keller, TX that my policy has been terminated.  I asked why are you calling me - you didn't even write that policy.  I then called Maria Amaya with Amaya Premier Agency - the one who actually did write the binder and asked what was going on.  She said - no, the policy has not been cancelled, you have up until July 17, 2011 to make those repairs.  I then begin receiving letters from David Crownover's Allstate office in Keller, TX stating the policy has been canceled, but please pay us $211.52 for the time it was insured.  I contacted Maria Amaya again to ask what the devil is going on?  She said - just ignore those letters - the policy has not been cancelled.

I continued to receive notices in the mail from Carla Rosenthal at David Crownover's office in Keller - note both of these agents are with Allstate - one could not write the bind and get the inspector out before 10-14 days - the ohter wrote the binder that same day - one quoted me several hundred dolalrs more than Maria Amaya's agency.  I then call Maria Amaya and let her know the repairs have been completed.  It just so happened the day the inspector came out to take pictures again, I had Daves Concrete out to pour the curb and slab that morning, which we removed two rows of the siding on the house to get a good level on how high we actually need to go.  The inspector stated "those boards have been removed, we will have to order another inspection".

I explained to this inspector that this was not part of the repairs we were made to do, but an enhancement to prevent further water from leaking into the house.  He said - we'll have to schedule another inspection.  So, here is a warning to everyone with Allstate Insurance.  If you are filing a claim and your inspector comes un-announced - you better not be in the process of remodeling another area on your home as they will call it damage!!!!!!!!  I cancelled my primary homeowners insurance and auto policy I had with David Crownover's Allstate agency for the last 15 years due to all of this.

Maria e-mailed me today and told me that the second inspection did not pass and Allstate could not write the policy.  They did not care that I had replaced ALL of the rotten damaged facia boards on teh house and repaired the soffett when I replaced the roof, all they wanted was the limbs cut back and a roof on it and facia, soffet and eve painted.  They would have been satisfied with painting over extremely damaged wood - splatter a little paint and we would be good to insure!  15 years I had my homeowners policy with David Crownover in Keller and at times up to 4 vehicles insured at once.   This is what I get for 15 years or loyal customer service.

David Crownover Allstate Agent Keller, TX and Amaya Premier Agency in River Oaks, TX

Update - I've asked Amaya Premier Agency to provide me pictures taken on the second inspection.  She has disregarded each and every e-mail I've sent.  I re-listened to her voice message she left approximately one week ago - and I will save this for the Texas Board of Insurance and my attorney.  She indicates that I did repair the roof - not only did I repair the roof I replaced the entire roof, she quotes "the roof has been replaced and facia replaced and painted, however there is siding that is off and a small bit of painting on the eve to do".  Really, the siding was put back on the next morning - she has my pictures.  I have asked repeatedly for her to send me the pictures that were taken on the second inspection.  As yet, she has refused to send them.  Also David Crownover's agency in Keller, TX is silent.  They are just as much to blame as Amaya Premier Agency.  They neither have the backbone or spine to reply or answer my e-mails.  Why won't they simply send me pictures of the repairs they state has not happened yet?  They do not have them!  The policy was fake all along.  Allstate Corporate never could pull up this policy.  It was written supposedly by Amaya Premier Agency and since David Crownover's agency already had my original homeowners insurance on the house in Keller, David Crownover's agency would be getting the commissioned sale.  I contacted Allstate Corporate and asked that this "policy" be transferred to Amaya Premier Agency over a week ago.  Again Allstate Corporate could not pull up the policy.  When they pulled up the policy number that Maria Amaya gave me - Allstate Corporate told me that was a policy on my house in Keller and NOT on the house in Fort Worth (the second home that is now in dispute).  These two Allstate companies have caused me undue stress, anquish and they are putting this house in jeopardy by not insuring it.

Since, I have contacted Allstate Corporate - per Maria Amaya, to get your policies transfered to another Allstate agent - all you do is call a 1-800 number, give the policy # you wish transferred.  Did this and AGAIN, Allstate Corporate could not locate a policy, canceled or terminated at my second home address.  I believe this is Deceptive Trade Practices, I believe this policy was also fabricated to make the consumer believe in fact this home had been covered all this time.  When I e-mailed Maria's agency of this issue - I have gotten no response.  Since this Rip Off Report, I have sent many letters to each of these agencies requesting them to send me the second inspection pictures so I could see for myself what YET had not been done.  Per a voice mail I received from Maria - she indicates that yes, the roof has been replaced, but there is some siding that was off - yes, this was the siding we took off just minutes prior to pouring the concrete.  And then she goes on to say - there is a little painting that needs to be done still - she said "not much at all".  Show me the pictures!!!!!!!!!!!  They have refused to show me the pictures of the second inspection.  I have gotten not one response from either of these agencies. But they are still billing me for the premium on a home that even Allstate Corporate cannot find a policy that exists, existed, is in force, is cancelled, etc......  Until Allstate provides me with a satisfactory inspection report and reinstates this home, i.e writes a valid policy, sends me something in the mail showing this home is insured as I have yet to receive anything in writing, other than a bill, this premium will not be paid.  Allstate - you cannot bill someone for something you never provided in the first place.  From day one - David Crownover's agency said the policy was terminated long BEFORE the option date to have the repairs completed.

splatter a little paint and we would be good to insure!  15 years I had my homeowners policy with David Crownover in Keller and at times up to 4 vehicles insured at once.   This is what I get for 15 years or loyal customer service.   I have yet to receive the second set of pictures the inspector took the day he came again, unannounced and has asked both these offices to forward me those pictures of repairs they claim have not been completed.  Don't even bother calling Allstate Corporate Office - when I had all three of these entities on a conference call, Allstate Corporate couldn't even pull up the policy numbers that Maria Amaya was giving them.  Each time they gave Allstate Corporate a new policy number, the condescending Allstate Customer Service employee could not find it.  Each time he tried to pull this up - the covered structure was the original homeowners policy on my current house and not the newly purchased house.  Beware of Allstate as a whole - you are NOT in good hands with Allstate - you are amongst liars, thieves and scam artists.  I finally have had enough of this run around with both of these agencies and Allstate Corporate.  I believe they wrote a fake policy, tried to collect money on it and was going to deny it from the beginning.  I have at least 3 notifications from David Crownover office in Keller, TX demanding I pay the $211.52 for the time the house was supposedly covered, but strangley enough - Allstate Corporate NEVER found the policy on this house in question.  Beware if you have your homeowners with one Allstate agent and if you try to obtain another homeowners policy on a newly purchased home with another agent, for reasons such as you were quoted too high from your original agent.  If another agent writes a policy on your new acquired home - it automatically goes to the original agent who has your primary homeowners insurance.  They get the commission for this sale and they didn't even write the policy.  So, I feel Maria was a bit screwed out of the entire commission deal, as none of that sale actually went to her, but I also feel due to this, she was less than forthcoming with helping me resolve this issue.  No, Allstate, you didn't get MY money for doing absolutely nothing.  I do not pay people for screwing me over and giving me undue stress, anxiety and grief over such a simple transaction.

Highly Dissatisfied with Allstate in Keller, TX and Amaya Premier Agency in River Oaks, TX - never again will Allstate RIP ME OFF!!!
