Allstate Title Agency, Inc. ABC Credit Credit Repair, Mortgage Modification Scam Plantation, Florida

I encountered this company at a Home Show and was quickly sucked into the scam. I was losing my business, credit card debt was piling up and I was having trouble paying my home mortgage. I went to them and was immediately told how they could help me with all the facets of my financial problems. It would take time and it would take money. Made sense to me.

After paying thousands of dollars upfront, I was told to stop paying on my mortgage immediately, create a bank account to show to the mortgage company how little my income was and to leave it in their hands. Not only were they going to negotiate with my credit card companies, but they were going to negotiate with my mortgage holder. I had already tried to talk to my lender but they had basically told me that my credit scores were still good, I was up-to-date on all my payments and that they didn't see any need to modify anything. They would only talk with people who were late on payments.

So, everything that my salesman said to me was making sense and I moved forward. At the advice of an attorney in the office, I was also told "that they would take care of my second mortgage on a condo that my wife and I own". They told me that "the second note holder had no standing and would probably no even pursue my lack of payments" so I should stop paying that as well. They were'nt even going to charge me for that.

After collecting all my notes, credit card numbers and tax returns, they began to work, or so I thought so. Pretty quickly I was concerned about the progress on my mortgage modification and soon, I began to realize that they weren't doing anything about my 2nd mortgage on the condo. I began to ask questions and was passed around from one person to the other in order to get me answers.

As I began to suspect, more and more, that very little was being done on my mortgage modification, I also began to realize that nothing was being done on my 2nd note on the condo. Where I didn't have a problem before, now I was in immenent jeopordy of losing my condo......and it had value! I consulted another attorney and they advised me to begin paying my condo note immediately and to pay them back what I hadn't paid them. So now, on top of fees I paid to the Allstate, I now had late fees for something that wasn't a problem when I started with Allstate and I now had new attorney fees.

I only have myself to blame. When you are in deep finanial trouble you look for any rope to pull you out and that is exactly what Allstate counts on when they take your money. Next stop......bankruptcy.
