Alltype Fireplace & Patios I regret I ever bought from . They created a dangerous situation for my family, poor service Chicago Illinois

I usually just read these reports but now I feel compelled to warn you about doing business with Alltype Fireplace & patio in Chicago. They not only won't refund my assembly charges ($50) but they created a dangerous situation that could have harmed my family. Talk about adding "Insult to Injury"!

My father and I bought a very expensive outdoor patio heater from Alltype. The reason we bought it was because the salesman, Mike Spatafora pressured us saying "by paying more you get a heater that will last you forever AND you will be buying from one of the best and reputable companies, Alltype. Ha! what a joke!

I made arrangements to have the heater delivered to my home. Because of the danger of assembling something that uses gas, I paid an additional $50 to have it assembled professionally by them prior to delivery.

May 14th they delivered the patio heater. The top was HEAVILY DENTED. When I called the store about it they said, "yes we know about it, we ordered another top for you. You can use it now until it gets delivered". I followed the instructions and turned it on. The smell of gas was quite obvious and I turned it off. When I called Alltype they said that that was a problem for the manufacturer( DCS) and for me to call them. I did call DCS and they sent a service technician to my home. By the way, Alltype did not order a new top for the heater, that was a lie. The service technician was amazed and the assembly job. He said that whoever assembled the heater did a terrible job and the gas lines were leaking throughout the system. I called Alltype and told them that the reason I paid $50 for assembly was because I wanted the job to be done right. They said to send them a fax which I did on May 23rd. No response. Several calls after that: no response. They simply chose to ignore me, because, after all, I was just one customer right? they can get more suckers, I mean buyers down the road.

If my family was to be harmed by that heater you can bet that I would hold Alltype Fireplace liable due to defective assembly. I am going to write the Attorney General of Illinois about this too. All it takes is one horrible accident and, well you know what I mean.

At most, I would like my $50 dollars back. I did not get what I paid for. At a minimum, I would caution you to not buy anything from Alltype Patio. We have many friends and neighbors who compliment the outside heater and when they ask me where I bought it I say "Alltype Fireplace. Don't buy from them unless you want a horrible customer experience."
