I am a doctor in Nevada. Troy Johnson represented himself to be in the business of selling used and refurbished lasers through Cynosure Laser to medical professionals nationwide through his company, Allure Aesthetics, Inc. On March 3, 2017, using his email address of troy@allureaesteticsinc.com, he told me he had a used Cynosure Vectus laser available to sell which could be delivered soon after purchase. He emailed me a limited warranty and quoted me $40,875 for the laser, including the warranty.

On March 7, 2017, I sent him the check for $40,875, which he cashed.  I then patiently waited for delivery.  For more than 6 months he made excuses of delay from Cynosure, delay of refurbushing mechanics, FedEX delay, and just strait up playing dumb. Finally, I asked for a refund on December 30, 2017, which he said he would wire transfer to me by the next day, not done. I have not received my money back and it has been over a year now.  All of his promises have been empty, and I have been forced to hire a lawyer to sue him and his company for fraud.

I do not want any other medical professionals to be victimized like me and others who have reported on Ripoff Report. My lawyer found that Troy had filed bankruptcy in Colorado in 2005 under Case No. 05-16045-EEB, with his real name of Gregory Vernile Johnson aka Troy Johnson. His company, Allure Aesthetics, Inc., has listed his wife, Melissa C. Johnson, as its registered agent, with a California address of (((REDACTED))) Palm Desert, CO 92211, a residential home.  Mr. and Mrs. Johnson owned that home, but sold it in August, 2017 for $525,000. My private investigator confirmed that they are currently living in a multi-million dollar home in a gated community at (((REDACTED))) La Quinta, CA 92253.

Troy stopped returning my text messages from his cell phone of 303-550-6060. How he can get away with ripping off medical professionals while continuing to live a lavish lifestyle is beyond comprehension to me. I am writing this to warn others so hopefully no other medical professionals will fall victim to this fraud.

Update on Allure Aesthetics and Troy Johnson

AUTHOR: Dr. J - (United States)

POSTED: Monday, August 27, 2018

This Ripoff Report prompted Troy Johnson to contact me and make payments over time to repay me. The lawsuit filed by my lawyer has now been dismissed and the matter is now resolved.
