If you live in the Myrtle Beach area and get your hair colored DO NOT have it done at Allure Salon & Spa in Plantation Point Plaza unless you know and trust a stylist there!!!

I was in a time crunch to get my hair colored and my regular stylist was out of town. I had never heard anything negative about Allure and they offered Aveda products, so I thought it was a safe bet. I was definitely WRONG!

I arrived at my appointment directly after work and told the lady what I wanted done. (Taken to an all-over blond from a heavy blond highlight - no biggie! I've been platinum before with no problems!) She didn't have any hesitations whatsoever, so she started bleaching my hair out. After the bleach was applied, she called her boss at home to find out what she needed to do next - not ONCE but TWICE! That's when I started worrying. 2 hours, $180.15, and a failed attempt BY HER at fixing it later - I left with bright yellow (yes, YELLOW, think Bart Simpson) hair framed in grey streaks where my highlights had been.

Obviously I had to have it fixed, but didn't want to go anywhere near that place again. After numerous attempts at contacting the manager and getting absolutely nowhere with the stylist, I've finally filed a complaint with the BBB. The manager has blatantly ignored my calls, messages, and inquiries. All I asked the stylist for was a refund of the money I paid for the service. Her only reply was 'you should come in and let me fix it','we do not give refunds', and 'the grey will wash out over time'. I'm in my mid-twenties and there is no reason why I should be walking around with grey hair, so I COULD NOT accept that it would just 'wash out'.

Well I can tell you with 100% certainty that I will never go there again. I make a point to tell everyone I meet and everyone I know about the horrible job this woman did and the bad business practices that followed.

Their 'customer service' is a joke, and it is awful that I was driven to file a complaint over something so stupid that could have been fixed with an 'I'm sorry' and a little more than $100.

Stay away from this place! Go to a salon where they actually CARE about their customers. I highly recommend Salon Edge. The people there actually care about their name and take pride in the quality of their work!

My name is Ayalla Benezra.

I am the owner of Allure Spa and Salon a business thatI created 11 years ago.

When i heard of this situationi contacted the customer and apologized. We refundedher $100 for the service and offered to correct the situation. We were not able to refund her for the product, which she purchased and kept in her posession. The client did not follow up on the opportunity to have the hair examined and corrected by the owner. This whole situation was a case of horrible miscommucation between the employee and the customer. I would like to point out that service quality is of importance for me and every single employee here at Allure Spa. We are taking rare situations like this extremly serious and willcommitto do everything in our power to please our clients. 11 yearsof repeat business is a statementto our comittment and we had not one single incident similarto this. As part of our comittment to providing excellent customer service, we even hired a consultant to help us improve ourselves.

I will personally stand behind my spa and the oferred services and offer to mediate in any future disputes.

Dear Mollie,

I am truly apologizing for the bad experience, which you had.I personally would like to offer you an additional free hair cut and color at a time and day of your convenience.

Al Benezra
