Alorica is straight up trash. If you want to simply work on an inbound phone program and make $12 and hour, it's fine.  If, however, you want to work on an outbound sales program where they promise you the more sales you make the more commissions you earn, it's a complete lie.

First off, understand Alorica is paid from American Express (and other companies, as well, but this is the division I worked for) by the hour.  In other words, if too many sales people make too many sales, then Alorica can't afford to pay the telemarketers their earned commissions.

So they have a number of methods to subtract your pay from your check each month.  None of which is brought up during interviewing and only glazed over during training.

First up is the automatic monthly reduction from your check ranging from $50 to $150.  This is because too many sales people have made too many sales.

Also, they have a nice reduction called a "pass through tax." I'm a tax preparer.  Alorica is NOT taxed on pass through income to their employees.  They still take 11% from that portion of the commission anyway.  Since bringing that truth up to management, it is now referred to as a PAYROLL tax.  LOL.

Just wait until you receive your first set of surveys the second or third month after beginning employment.  When a customer scores you 10 out of 10, but yet clicks 8 out of 10 when referring the company to a friend, that score immediately negates hundreds to even a thousand dollars of your paycheck!  That's right. When you have NOTHING to do with that score it costs you money.

In fact, even though management swears up and down surveys are "random," I personally know of several occassions where the last day of the month a magical survey popped up.  One guy that is no longer at Alorica had a survey released on a DIFFERENT DAY then was EVER reported before, just in time to take away most of his commission.

ALORICA SELLS AMERICAN EXPRESS PLATINUM CARDS TO AMERICAN EXPRESS CUSTOMERS who don't even need them.  Ironically, the customers who usually would benefit from a Platinum card refuse to get them.  They are trained to confuse the customer into believing they are actually calling from American Express, and even teach them to say they are business consultants!  The people who state that don't even have ANY IDEA what a business consultant even does. Yet, they are more than happy to consult the customer into paying more for a card with a bunch of benefits they won't be able to even use.

Oh, and Alorica lies on their recruiting too.  There is NO holiday pay.  After around 6 months you'll start to accrue Paid Time Off, but then you'll have to turn around and use the PTO for the days off on holidays.  Don't even think about their benefits.

ALORICA IS STRAIGHT UP TRASH.
