I was sold a remanufactured engine after Cindy convinced me that they are better than new because they remediate even Nissan's flaws found in the new engines as well as replace all parts in the used engines they remanufacture at their Texas factory. She also convinced me that her multi generation family owned business in San Diego is so honest. She uses a San Diego phone. The engine was bought in 2015 with a 3 yr and 100,000 mile warranty. After only a year the engine broke down. She will not honor the warranty and also now claims she isnt in California and never has been for many years. She says she has nothing to do with the engine at all. She panicked and Refunded thru PayPal what she says was her drop shipment mark up of about $400 and now wont respond. The Nissan dealer found all kinds of wear and defects in the engine some that they have never seen before. Nothing but a fraud. Stay away.

Cindy Benjamin in hiding

AUTHOR: - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, July 26, 2017

We have the catalytic converter and two mechanics found nothing wrong with it. We have it as evidence for court. If what Cindy Benjamin said was really true thrn why does she use a fake address for her business.  She is in hiding from being served a lawsuit. We have people searching for her. They investigated her business address and its fake. Its a mail service and the box is used by someone else. We are doing deep background searches. We have property reports. We will find her and bring her to court. She is a fraud who uses the anonymity of the internet to defraud the public.

APS Remanufactured Engine Warranty

AUTHOR: Cindy - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, January 09, 2017

Mr Harrington  purchased a remanufactured engine from Advanced Powertrain Solutions through our company. APS has a 3 year 100k miles warranty. When the engine was sent to his mechanic there were explicit warranty directions including a neon green tag stating that a defective cat converter can cause damage to the engine and will void the warranty.

After one year of service, Mr Harrington called to report a warranty problem. The repair shop that installed his Remanufactured engine was no longer in business. His new mechanic found internal damage to the engine. APS began a warranty claim and sent a technician to inspect and diagnos his issue. The technician stated the catalytic converter had malfunctioned and caused the damage.

Mr Harrington produced an invoice showing he had bought a new aftermarket converter about one year before his old engine went bad. His shop was no longer in business and so we did not know why that engine failed. The same cat converter was used on the replacement engine.

We do not administer the warranty on factory remanufactured engines, we let the customer deal directly with the manufacturer. This is an exact quote of their diagnosis from their email:

"Michael, the engine appears to have failed from pre-Cat material ingestion  into the combustion chambers and contaminating the oil system and causing the subsequent failures in the timing chain tensioner and timing chain guide ect.

Due to the loss in oil psi. Without any receipt for the Cat being changed at the time of installation we would not be able to cover this under warranty."

After over 20 emails and texts with Michael Harrington, we offered to refund all of our profit as a gesture of good faith and advised him to pursue any future warranty claim directly with the manufacturer if he had proof to dispute their diagnosis.

Weeks after the refund was given Mr Harrington continued to contact us, letting us know he took the car to the dealer for diagnosis. I assume they were unable to find a different reason than the one found by APS as soon after he began sending threatening texts. We did decline to respond to those.

Regarding our current and previous business locations; at no time did we tell Mr Harrington we were currently in California. All paperwork coming from us had our Texas address on it. We do maintain a California ph# along with our local Texas number for all our previous CA customer who have done business with us over the years. Mr Harrington was also informed that the factory for APS was located in Texas but that it is not our facility. We are unsure why this makes a difference to him but wanted to clarify his statement.

We are truly sorry Mr Harrington is unhappy and we did all we could do including refunding $485.00 which was our portion of the sale and which we certainly did not have to do since his engine damage was covered under his stated warranty.

We strive to please our customers, have maintained an A+ rating with the BBB for over 10 years, and customer satisfaction is of the utmost priority. We feel we did our best in this instance.
