Al's Oil Company-Diesel & Gas Station They manipulated the gas pump to total 20.00 dollars in gas without pumping the gas. Upon returning they wouldn't reimburse or give me the gas. East Hanover New Jersey

On July 25, 2008 I pulled into the Gas & Diesel gas station to get gas. I asked for $20.00 preimum gas and proceeded to wait for the the pump to finish. I had a friend in the car and we chatted.
Once the attendant pulled the pump from the car I looked back to see that the amount was $20.00. The hose was blocking part of my view but there was enough room to see the dollar amount. My friend also look at the pump.

As I pulled away from the station I noticed that my gas gauge was not moving. We picked up her son about a mile away and the gauge still had not moved to indicate that I had gotten gas. I returned to the station and explained the problem. The attendant didn't speak very good english but was able to understand enough of what was being said. He denied not giving me the gas and said he could not give my money back.
After 45 minutes of getting no where I called the police. The police arrived and had the same result. He could not make them give me neither the gas or return the money.
A police report has been filed and I am in the process of filing a complaint. The office of Weights & Measures hasn't been very encouraging in filing that complaint because of the amount of money involved. This station has had so many reports against it according to the policeman and the office Weights & Measures it's ridiculous but they still continue to operate.
I would say that it's not about the money but it is and also about princple. Gas cost to much as it is but to have someone steal from you in this manner and you call a cop and still not get results is defeating.
