To Alyon Technologies, Inc. We have sent this letter to both addresses above certified mail with a request for a return receipt. We received the attached bill for $474.03 last week. We have since learned that your company (or the one you supposedly represent) is basically a (censored)/ripoff.

We are writing to inform you that we have no intention of paying this bill, even after you so graciously offered to lower it to $309.00. We want all charges dropped and a letter stating that this has been done as soon as possible.

We have located and removed the dial pass that was downloaded on our hard drive which enabled the company you represent (or you) to dial international calls using our modem without our permission.

On Friday we also received a bill from AT&T for $519.00. We have contacted them and explained your (censored)to them and all charges were immediately dropped. In our over 20 years of being a customer of theirs we have never made an international call and they had put a block as soon as our account was red flagged in their computer to prevent you (or the company you represent) from dialing through our modem.

We also have located a website (www.badbusinessbureau.com) which has over 600 other victims of yours (or the company you represent). We are posting our message along with theirs in order to make other victims aware of your (censored). Your company apparently is not the only one that has attempted to charge consumers that never purchased or authorized such connections (see attached report which is posted on www.ftc.gov/opa/2002/11/integretel.htm).

We also went to the website of the Better Business Bureau in Trenton, NJ and Atlanta, GA. Apparently the New Jersey office has not caught up to you since they have you listed as having a Satisfactory Record (report attached), (http://www.trenton.bbb.org/nis/newsearch2.asp?ID=1&ComID=0221000012001542), however, the Georgia website (report attached) has over 200 complaints filed with you (http://www.atlanta.bbb.org/common.html?location=/home/common/www/mis67/report.php&bureau=atlanta&compid=10000499) .

Of course this might have something to do with the fact that the bill only gives a post office box number in Atlanta, GA. Others might not have thought to send a copy of their complaints to the New Jersey office where your actual offices are located.

We are also sending copies of this letter to the FCC, the FBI, the Maryland, New Jersey and Georgia State Attorney-General?s, the Better Business Bureau in Atlanta, GA (your P.O. Box address) and Secaucus, New Jersey (your real location). We surely hope someone does something to put an end to this as it was truly aggravating and time consuming.

Not only should your company (and/or the company you represent) be gotten rid of and fined but you should be help liable for the pain and suffering and grief you have caused so many.

Hoping you get yours??.

New information on U.S. District Court Case Against Alyon Technologies, Inc.

AUTHOR: Andrea - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, June 25, 2003

Below please find letter I have sent to Federal Trade Commission. It has the website you can visit to see the press release and the United States District Court Northern District of Georgia case that was filed against them on 5/13/2003.

June 25, 2003

Mr. Peter Lamberton

Federal Trade Commission

Rom 238

600 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W.

Washington, D.C. 20580

Dear Mr. Lamberton:

Enclosed please find correspondence which pertains to a bill that was issued by Alyon Technologies, Inc. After finding and reading the documents at http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2003/05/swnetforce.htm I decided to write to you and enclose all of the information I have sent to this company and all of the various organizations related to helping consumers fight this issue.

I do indeed have a 17 year old son (see enclosed letter from his high school, name (they spelled it wrong and he is a Jr.), dob, address and phone is circled). However I have AOL and he is under adult supervision settings. I asked him if he had accidently accessed any such website or downloaded anything suspicious and he does not believe he did. Sometime we leave the computer on at nighttime (they are saying this happened at 2:30 a.m.) to download music files. I as many other consumers believe this dialup software (which I did locate and delete from my computer) can somehow automatically be placed on your hard drive without you even knowing it and disconnect you from AOL and reconnect you to the (censored) network without the consumers? authorization or approval (as stated in the FTC release of May 15, 2003 ?Law Enforcement Posse Tackles (censored)Internet , Deceptive Spammers?).

I do not believe I should have to pay this bill (and don?t intend to). I also do not believe that Alyon Technologies, Inc. has the right to a copy of my son?s birth certificate or an affidavit of any sort.

Even though this has taken me a great deal of time and the expense of having to mail all of this information (some regular mail and others certified) I am not looking for any compensation other than getting a letter from Alyon Technologies saying the charges have been dropped. They should realize that something is wrong with the companies they represent since there are so many people that are disputing these charges and try to work with people on resolving these issues as AT&T did when they dropped the additional $519.00 that was being billed from this incident.

I hope that the information enclosed helps the United States District Court Northern District of Georgia case that was filed on May 13, 2003. Please let me know if I can be of any additional help to you.

Sincerely,

Andrea S. Miles
