I wish I had complained about this company a long time ago. I did not know enough to search the internet for the right way to do it.

I applied for work at this company after I had my second child. I was not able to work outside the home, and medical transcription from home was my dream job. I applied with this company, and I wanted to work so badly that I agreed to pay for the software which they said was required to work for them from home. I paid almost $500 for all my software and the foot pedal to operate the online dictation (I still have my copy of the money order).

I was told I would be able to start work after I passed their initial accuracy test. I was given this "test" several times, and each time I was declined. There was always something "wrong" with my transcription -- one time I remeber it was the spelling of one word which can be spelled two different ways. I found all these "mistakes" difficult to understand, since I had previously worked as a medical transcriptionist for several other doctors and had never received any complaints. I tried to contact someone regarding this problem, but when I got through on the telephone the woman that answered was very rude, even though she was supposed to be my mentor in this endeavor.

This company also lures people into this little scam by displaying all sorts of religious references. People that post messages in their newsletter put in religious references everywhere. There is even a prayer list, and all kinds of references to charity work, etc. You think you are being included in this warm fuzzy family company. Don't let them fool you.

If there was a way to broadcast this information to everyone searching for online medical transcription work, I would definitely tell everyone to stay away from this company!! I am still very upset by all this, though it happened quite some time ago (2002). I know there is probably no way that I will ever get my money back. I have experienced several online scams, but these people take the cake.

I was just reading about the Better Business Bureau. Obviously they pay a nice little fee to receive a good rating from them. I checked through the BBB when I was researching this job, and obviously to no avail. Do not reference the BBB when researching companies.
