Amadeus Salon - Amadeus Spa Horrible, immoral, lying, cheating company!!! Pasadena California

As a former employee of Amadeus Spa I have come to realize all of the awful things thier employees go through.

Here's an example; if an employee works 40 hours a week, they are reguired to be there all 40 hours, but do not get paid an hourly wage. They are on commission only, which means if business is slow, you often make less than minimum wage in a pay period. Employees are not given, or required to take breaks, or lunches.

OSHA has been called out to locations, and Amadeus has still yet to comply. The State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology has cited Amadeus too many times to count, and yet still this company is in business.

Product sales are a huge perk for Amadeus owners, afterall the mark up on them is 100%! Employees are encouraged to sell products with the promise of a 10% comission. However checks were seldom paid for comission, but if employee product sales are low, your job is threatened. So what is the incentive... to make more money for them?

A current employee informed me that mold, roaches, water leaks, and faulty electrical equipment are just a few of the problems at the moment. They also said that they are not in compliance with any of the fire safety codes or labor laws.

One would like to think that a company that has been around for over 20 years would know how to properly run a businness, but this is not the case.

I would like to urge any one appling for a job, or looking to recieve a service from any of their locations to think twice. You could be enjoying a massage and having roaches lying on the massage table with you.
