On 29 JAN 2013 I was informed by email that Amazon had closed my Seller account because of a bad rating in two categories. I am a small private Seller, not a business. I have been buying and selling on Amazon since 2003.

In three recent cases, scam Buyers purchased items and then claimed that either I had made a mistake, or the items were no longer wanted. However, the items that caused the closure were two USED Pentium processor with a total net value of under $30. I sold exactly what I described AND take extensive legible photos. Amazon's TOC require Sellers to issue refund REGARDLESS of reason! So, I had no choice.

Amazon then has the balls to hold the $400 in my Seller account for the next 90 days - with no recourse. In addition, I filed an appeal and because I did not use the "correct" words, the robot rejected my appeal less than 5 minutes after I submitted it and again, no recourse!

Once upon a time, Amazon was it for online shopping. Now, I can find what I want often times with lower cost. However, Amazon and eBay still rule the selling side when it comes t o consumers who want to resell old or unused items. I now have $1500.00 in inventory also frozen and no good alternative.

For any of you fellow Libertarian skeptical atheists, any claims that Amazon is a private business and do whatever they want is facetious. Amazon, like any human endeavor, makes mistakes. The use of robots and badly constructed policies and metrics that harm consumer and part time sellers like myself does NOT fall under the category of "its ok".

Same story here, just a few different details...mine happen on Monday, Feb. 4th. No reply to many, many emails and phone calls. They are holding 577.00 ransom and I have no say or am able to get a straight answer as to what rules I broke. I sell only new items that are sealed up...so...it's just very fishy they will not answer my emails. It has ruined my business and I have refused to ship or do anything until my funds are released! I know they will never give me back my money, so why even  try to make things better. I have refunded as many as I can and will ship the rest of my orders and never again have anything to do with the rip off company amazon.
