After losing my job in 2006, I was in constant contact with my lender, New Century. I was told to keep in touch and when I got a job that paid a certain amount or more, then I could refinance. The same day that I was again told to keep in touch (by a new century employee), I got a phone call from a jerk who had pulled the court house records- I was being foreclosed on!!

To add insult to injury, new century wouldn't allow me to speak with loan modification, etc.

THEN Fresh solutions of FL/d.b.a. America Home Mortgage sent me several letters stating that they "specialized in refinancing defaulted mortgages" and that they have "saved many houses from foreclosure sale" and so on.

I researched them on the web,BBB, etc;they seemed to be legit. I made an appointment, and Edie at their office was more than upbeat about my chances to save my house from foreclosure- she said that they would be my advocate and that she had a working relationship with the lender AND a relationship with the attorney firm hired to file foreclosure.

Edie is the main operative here, Mark is the one who screens phone callers and sends out repeated letters. I was told by Edie that she had a great feeling that I would be qualified for loan modification or forbearance, just "have faith", she then had me write out a letter describing my hardship relating to my loan.

I did so, and she had me re-do it so that it emphasized my husband's death- and told me not to mention that he died in 2003! I paid them $1200, wish i would have canceled my check asap- but she had the nerve to yell at me when i told her about the letter from the lender saying that they had sold or transfered my loan- SOME KINDA RELATIONSHIP ya got there, Edie! Hope you and your bogus company get busted on dateline- cuz I am not going to stop screaming to all media outlets about your predatory scam!!
