AMERICA ONLINE ripoff DISHONEST FRAUDULENT BILLING & ACCOUNT DEDUCTION TAMPA Florida

April 10th I purchased a new Dell Computer. Along with this purchase I was given 6 months of FREE service with America Online.

August 20th, I received a letter from AOL stating "We received and honored your request to cancel your AOL membership on 8/14/04.

I received another letter stating that my AOL account is about to be terminated and my account balance may be refered to their collection agency ! It then went on to state "Please call 1-866-450-5709. When I called to explain that under their terms with Dell, I was offered a six month FREE trial and shy of only 4 months, I no longer desire their service.

They then refered me to 1-888-265-8008 who then refered me to another number 1-866-356-1123.

October 22nd, I received ANOTHER letter stating "Suspension of your America Online account and access privileges has occured because of NON-PAYMENT" !!! The outstanding balance you owe is $47.80 !!!

An invoice was provided stating: Pay This Amt: $47.80
Account No. 0366531658
Due Date: November 7, 2004

10/29/2004, I received my bank statement:
EFT SYSTEM ATM TRANS
TWX*AOL SERVICE 1004 Phone 800-827-6364 VA...$47.80 Unauthorized Deduction was Debited from my checking account by this Company that refuses to honor my request for suspension !!!

I am a 71 year old Disabled Vet that can not afford to be taken by any company that refuses to abide with any agreement or disagreement.

They have left me with a bank balance of $6.19 !!! I have been using YAHOO FREE Service simply because I am not financially able to do anymore.

I have another Disabled neighbor that is STILL having the same problems that I have been having with AOL also .

Please help me get my money placed back into my account as it is all that I have Social Security wise.

Thank you...I have made numerous calls...all on their deaf ears.
