Don’t trust the Auto Guardian Inc (AAGI) extended 3 months / 3K mile powertrain service contracts, you will have no peace of mind having it in case of engine breakdown.  The engine on my 2010 Mini cooper failed due to a bad oil vent valve that failed (verified by BMW motorwerks mechanic). I am being told by American Auto Guardian the extended service contract will not be covered because the vent valve looks good to the adjuster.  If the part failed and caused upper engine damage as it did at the time of use it shouldn’t matter how the part looks to the adjuster now. My car engine failed and suffered major engine damage before the 3 months and 3K miles. I only put 1K miles on the car; it should be covered. Obviously the part failed and caused damage to the pistons and valves at the time.
