American Car Rental Credit card ripoff fraudulent billing Oranjestaad Aruba

This is my bad experience with the Aruba American Car Rentals scammers: When I was returning the rented car back to them in Oranjestad, Aruba, it was about three hours before the airplane's departure to the States. During returning of the car, as I was backing in their parking lot, I backed into the ramp and broke the back red light. I returned the card to the American Car Rental. The employee there said not to worry about it, because it is only a small damage, as only the rear red light was broken.

To my surprise, seven days later I heard from Raj Misier, who claimed to be the owner of American Car Rental. He informed me that he is charging my credit card 1,292.10 Dollars. When I questioned the charge, he would not say what was the damage.

I believe this is a clear case of fraud. The guy waits a week until I am back in the USA and then he takes a huge amount of money from my credit card. Fortunately, I have an eyewitness and she will contact the credit card regarding the scam American Car Rental is trying to pull. I will see how it will end.

Here are the two nasty emails (with all the misspellings) he sent me when I requested explanation of the $1,290 charge to my credit card:

Unbelievable two responses from a merchant when a customer wants to know why he is being charged $1,290.21. In any event, I recommend against renting cars from this unscrupulous car renting outfit.
