american careers inc I tried to apply for an airline job. found out the address is BOGUS washington, District of Columbia

To the Poster above me; Unless Kevin Blackford is a recruiter or hr manager for an airline, he CANNOT do anything for you other than tell you what is already (FREE) and available information on the internet! Most airlines require you to pass a test before even being considered. No need to waste everybody's time if you dont have what it takes is the thought process. If you do pass the test, you will then have an Interview, background check, and 2 week class that you have to pass. So even with AMERICAN CAREERS help (if that what you want to call it) its NOT guaranteed! You still have to do almost all of the process on your own. So why pay $35-40 to be told where to go or what to do when you can do that online yourself? Oh, and everybody's not doing it because everybody CAN'T pass the requirements.

I am in agreement with the second person who posted on here. I called the number, sent in my $35.00 as I was told to do. Within 7 days I had information in my hand. I read the information that was given to me and then called the # that was provided. I talked with this really cool guy, Kevin Blackford. He was wonderful and I have 4 interviews set up. I like working with someone that knows the ins and outs of the business. If it were so easy to get a job then everybody would have one and nobody would be posting here. I followed directions and got what I needed. So sorry for those other two souls who feel that they need to bad mouth a place before even giving it a try!

They were instructed to send in an application and some money.  They attempted to do this via courier.  What is it to you whether they used courier, U.S. Mail, Fedex, UPS,  singing telegram, etc??? What difference does that make? The point is they were instructed to submit the paperwork and money and that is what they attempted to do.  Lucky for them, they were able to find out it wasn't even a real address.  By the way, to both you people, who the heck GIVES someone money when they are trying to find a job? If I am looking to GET PAID, I sure am not going to be PAYING someone else! And, if I want a career in the avaiation field, I am going to apply directly with the respective airlines and not fool around with unknown third parties with their hand out.

So, why would you have someone else go in to deliver your job application, or to pay your fee for that matter. A lot of companies have different mailing addresses than where they operate to avoid the problem of having people just show up at their place of business. If you wanted a job, then you should have made an attempt to show up instead of sending someone else. I don't know how you think that you would have gotten a job by sending someone else to do your dirty work. Business that have people come in look to see how the person carries themselves, and how they dress. Get a clue, maybe you could have a chance at getting a real job. Maybe people that don't follow directions should be "flogged,"...we would have a few less idiots in this world that way!

I followed the directions that American Careers provided me. They put out the ad saying that there was an Airline Now Hiring, I called the number and sent in my information with my $35.00 money order. I paid for them to help me to locate a job and that is what I got. I got a lot of information as well as personal help from a guy named Kevin. I guess that you have to read listen and follow directions in order to get any where in this world.

The program is not a scam, I filled out my application online and have been on several interviews. This is a busy time of year and I am still having people call and set up times to interview me. I was lucky to find American Careers. Stop bad mouthing what you haven't tried. I got more than what I paid for! Oh yeah, and I am currently employed, just looking to work with the airlines.
