American Century Transport False Advertising and I got ripped off and I'm mad as heck!! Miami Florida

My husband and I purchased a new vehicle on the Internet. We sent out several E-Mails to Transport Companies to contract to bring our vehicle from Miami to NW Florida where we live. We were swamped with advertisements.

The one we chose advertised that if we contracted with them within 48 hours of receiving their notice we would receive $300 worth of free Gas. I did question how they could afford to do this and still make money? I was told a local gas station was giving it to them as special incentive to use at their discrestion for their company. We would receive the money when the vehicle was placed on the transport. We contracted with them on September 19, 2008.

The vehicle arrived with necessary paperwork, but no $300. I waited thinking it would be sent by mail. On Monday, Oct 6, 2008 I called the company, spoke with Evelyn and was told it would go out that day by Certified Mail. It did not happen!

On Friday, Oct 10, 2008, I spoke with Evelyn and was told they only send them out on Saturday and she would send it the very next day. It did not happen!

On Wednesday, Oct 15, 2008, I E-Mailed Hector (The Manager of Transport Section) explaining the above two problems and asked him what was the problem with sending me the $300 as promised and to let me know. It did not happen!!!! I heard nothing.

On Wednesday, Oct 15, 2008 I followed up with a phone call and spoke with Odalys. She assured me the $300 would be in the mail on Sat. Oct 18, without fail.

On Friday, Oct 17, 2008 I followed up again with a phone call to remind Odalys and Odalys said it would be sent for sure the next day. It did not happen!

On Oct 27, 2008 I called and spoke with Evelyn and by this time I'm furious. I got right to the point and asked them if this whole thing was a rip off and called them liars. At this point Evelyn was screaming back, don't call us liars, we're not. I said, if you continously tell me your going to do something, and don't, I consider that lying. By this time, I realized Evelyn had hung up on me.

I faxed the above information to Ms. Monica Vega, Director of this Company, and made her aware of what has been going. I asked her to call me and we could discuss the problem. It did not happen! I'm still waiting!

I will do my best to put the information out there about this company. I have also reported them to the Attorney General's Office of Florida, Mr. Bill McCollum.

It is so frustrating to trust people, only to find out how devious people really are.
