I was cheated and charged $199.95 by American Credit Solutions, Inc. They debited my Checking account for this amount. They told me that I was pre-approved for a Credit Card with $4000.00 credit line. When I got the package, it was a Merchandise Card. I contacted them and said that I was mislead in this issue and so I asked them to credit back my amount.
They said that they will probe into the tape and then they will get back to me in 5 days. But when I called after 7 days, they told me that there is no misinterpretation from their side and so I cannot get back my money.
Please help me out from this issue. I am just a student and I can't afford to lose that much amount.

#1 Consumer Suggestion
CLOSE your account

When did they debit your account? If less than 2 months ago, you might get back your money. Go to your bank, and request a form to dispute unathorized charges. Give the bank a detailed description what happend, how this offer was deceptive, etc.
Even if you are over the 30-60 days, and the bank refuse to process your dispute, CLOSE your bank account, request a new one, otherwise these guys will hit your account again and again.
For the future: please NEVER accept any financial offer over the phone. HANG UP, before giving /verifying ANY personal data about you.
If the offer comes in mail, check the company on the Internet.
