They tried to ripp me off, too.

Their representative (I think Jason was his name) went really quickly over the fee issue, probably hoping that I won't notice the 200, and insisted on the benefits which included some coupons.

That raised my suspicion and I asked him to go back to the fee and explain it.

Then I asked him for his company's phone number - he would not give it to me. I asked for a website, he said they don't have one. It was becoming more and more clear that this was not a normal business.

He told me I would get a 2500 dollar credit card, with no interest. I asked him, are you sure? Because it sounds too good to be true.

Let's pause for a minute.

If I pay them 200 and they pay me 2500 that I never have to pay back and there is no interest on it (he confirmed this was the case) what would be the deal for them?

I asked him to put the promises in writing. He said they only do business over the phone, because they can explain things better (dupe people easier, I would say.)

I asked him again to put it in writing, as I want records of his promises. He said there was no need for that, and refused, adding his company works only over the phone.

These people could say anything over the phone, and how can I prove it was otherwise? I don't expect them to go over their phone records and say "sorry, we misrepresented this."

Their employees are probably paid a very high commission (which is probably coupled with a low hourly rate) making them very pushy salesmen with a high incentive to sign up customers regardless how

At some point, they guy asked for my bank's name and if I had a checking account number. By that time, I had become very suspicious and I refused to give him any more information, as I continued to ask him to put things in print and send it to me by mail. He hung up.

A few days later, I got this yellow post card saying that my card is ready but has not been activated.

Thanks to this website, I was able to actually find out who these people are.
