On Aug. 4th I contacted this office to apply for a loan. The next date they called and told me I had been approved. But the needed me to wire them $1250.00 In thier own words. Relevant documents as per American Eagle Financial you are required to send your insurance Deposit of $1250.00. The policy is purchased on your behalf and will protect yourself and our Private Lender against any default. The final processing and release of your loan from the time the insurance deposit and all outstanding conduction is fulfilled. In order to ensure prompt and accurate delivery of your loan funds please complete the following below. loan insurance paid, copy of your job letter, copy of pay stub, coby od DL and ss #. They faxed the loan contract and I signed and return it with all the info they had ask for. Even my back account # so they could deposit my loan. I Western unoin the money to them on the 6th of Aug. 2010. Thay called and said they recieved it and the money would be in my account the following Monday aug. 9th 2010 at 3 pm. So on Monday afternoon I contacted my bank and the money had not been deposited. I called Jason Chase back American Eagle Financial. He told me i had to talk to his boss Mr. Sterling that for the money to be deposited in my account they needed another 1250.00. Mr sterling told me that Jason Chase had made a mistake and he would be handling the loan from here out. At this point it had came to my attention that something was wrong. so i ask Mr Sterling to just send the 1250.00 plus the 110.00 That took it to wire it back to me. He stated that it would not be a problem to do this but it would take up to 8 weeks. I have yet to recieve my money. i have tried numberous times to call them but it is always a recording that saids this mailbox is full. One big d**n rip off

Okay,thank you for explaining..

My only real "pay off" here, is simply helping others as well..be it a person who was unjustly ripped off, or in cases a report that I feel is unjustly disparaging a business.

I also "stumbled" onto this site when Wachovia was ripping me off like there was no tomorrow during a rough period in my life when I relocated to LA and had trouble finding work in my field due to the economy crash the banks and Government caused.. I had to put up with a lot of grief and rebuttals from some bank defenders. A shady rent a car place and some merchants apparently placed "authorization holds"..problem is..they were released without my knowledge or authorization..hence the avalanche of fees hit me when I barely had food money. Bank?? You know.."there is nothing we can do"..but I saw to it there was something they can do and got every penny back..and exposed the results here as much as I could

When I mentioned a lawsuit for what was going on, I was mocked. And now look..A major one against WF in California where the bank lost, has to pay back millions and millions, and can no longer manipulate transactions in the state..and the schemes the bankers "manufactured" to hurt customers were exposed, and by the banks OWN testimony concluded they did this with malice..even knowing it could end up in a suit, and that it would hurt customers and cause many complaints.

I also had a separate incident which I lodged here when an ATM ripped off my rent money and caused a lot of hardship that month. It took them a month to "investigate" and conclude that yes..I am actually not a bank robber, imagine that?.

The ATM by the way, was a Wells Fargo/Wachovia...the ATM was at WF, but I used it because it had no fee since they merged, and the ATM had a Wachovia logo on it. The machine did not give any money, no receipt, no sound of the machine trying to give money..the screen simply said "the transaction can not be completed at this time" or something to that effect. But when I got home and checked the online statement...sure enough the funds were taken out..ehhh long story typical bank nightmare..neither bank wanted to help..they sent me back and forth..I could go on..but it is water under the bridge now.

I started getting addicted to this site..and debating here. I also would come here to defend other bank victims who were simply lodging that the banks convoluted deceptive system was causing one legitimate overdraft to be as many as 10..and some bank defenders would say the bank did nothing wrong..and use a register next time.

Well how the heck does a register tell the customer that the bank is manipulating one overdraft to become 10? And how is the register telling the customer that the cup of coffee the bank approved to be purchased for a couple of bucks..would cost 35.00..did the bank think this was a mortgage payment so the customer needed the transaction to be approved? Many like myself argued that not only did we not want OD protection, but that we told the bank this..but they did not care. How did the register inform a customer that the bank is manipulating posting times and check clearing times.??.and that merchants place unknown holds on the card which can lead to overdrafting?? Ehh whatever...been there a zillion times on this site..

I notice it got very quiet regarding the issue since a new regulation change forbidding the banks to auto enroll customers into OD protection on the debit card without proper disclosure...seems the issue may not have been all "deadbeats" and irresponsible customers and register issues..but rather caused by the banks back stabbing deceptive improperly disclosed tactics...but the lawsuits continue as many pissed off customers want some retribution for past fleecings.

Ok enough rambling..see you around..I am sure there will be plenty of new bank ripoff schemes to expose here. However if the complaint was due to a customers irresponsibility and the bank really did nothing wrong, I would have to mention that in all fairness if I choose to reply.

No I did not even know about this site at the time the rip-off happened. I fell into the site one day while trying to find a way to let people know about my experience and found out about this horrible systemic practice. And then found out that this kind of financial malfeasance was more prevalent than I could even have imagined. I also dealt with many banks as a result of my QUICKEN LOANS experience, since their taking money from my credit card after I rescinded their contract after finding out what was promised me was not what their paperwork stated. I was applying to obtain money to deal with my debt crisis soon to hit. They take deposits no matter what, changed my documents after signature was given (another issue), and I found out make a huge fortune with this almost FREE money. They have a damage control nasty vixen named KELLY that rationalizes always in their favor.  I still believe that if enough people with similar problems contact the FTC it will create a change in the financial institution. The fact is that many Wall Street related businesses are making the American people into the slaves of the 21st century, and this is well documented in documentaries like MAXED OUT, THE CORPORATION, the SPEAKING FREELY SERIES, LIFE AND DEBT, IN DEBT WE TRUST, and chillingly THE END OF POVERTY? . I find that banks by design drain us of all our resources, and we are forced into becoming commodity buyers by organizations like the IMF, INTER-AMERICAN DEVELOPMENT BANK, and the international institution that powers most world decisions the WORLD BANK. Yes, and I see you here as well all the time, and wonder what your pay off is given some of your comments (since my reasoning is obvious that I wish to help other in my way given my experiences, or empathy).

How did you fall for the Quicken Loans scam? I see you here all the time. Didn't you investigate them first? They have reports and complaints about doing this exact same scam all over the  internet.. and this site as well.

Yeah, we read a lot about how bad the BBB is...but, they are a sometimes a great source of information. If you would have checked this company out using the BBB website or did any kind of investigation before paying them a dime, you would have saved yourself all the grief and loss.

Here is what else I found there..hope this info helps you..but bear in mind this companies website is GONE off the face of the earth..these scammers might have headed for the hills...Guess until they are locked up, they will just change the name and do this crap over again.

BBB of Central and Eastern Kentucky has notified the Kentucky Attorney General's Office and the Kentucky Department of Financial Institutions about this scam. If you are a victim of this scam, the BBB encourages you to contact the KY Department of Financial Institutions at 502-573-3390 as soon as possible.

BBB of Central & Eastern Kentucky has confirmed that American Eagle Financial has provided prospective borrowers with a phone number that they say is the Better Business Bureau. The number provided is NOT the Better Business Bureau and the information obtained about the company when calling that number is false.

I am humbled by this experience, since I only lost $500 from QUICKEN LOANS, who have a deposit and a bait and switch scam well documented on this site. Here is a site to send a compliant against this company that is screwing you:
