I purchased the Box Office Express back in March 2004, and it was installed on July 28th (not the speedy process I was promised). I had nothing but problems getting the machine installed and keeping it operational after installation. To make a long story short, I am up and running, but still facing a negative cash flow every month. I do not hold AED responsible for this factor. With every business opportunity, there is a risk and I chose to take that risk and I'm now suffering the consequences. My concern however, lies in the fact that AED seems to have fallen off the face of the earth.
On a separate note, my mother also purchased a machine back in March and her machine has not been delivered. Is it safe to say that she paid nearly $40K for nothing?
I've been reading all the postings and although I'm interested in who's doing well and why, my biggest concern is:
DOES AED STILL EXIST???
If the answer to this is no, do we have any recourse? Any information you can provide will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Does anyone have a number to contact either James MacArthur or anyone at AED? How about a number for Riello/V&L?

Tech Support for Riello Machines

I have two Reillo machines that I bought in March and I have had small problems with them, but nothing major. I need a source for movie trailers that I can download to the dispensers. I was using the Utechsupport.com website. The timing is here is bad for me, because my machines are just starting to produce revenue. I believe that people who recieved their machines will be okay.

Chuck, we might be able to help

Chuck,
Erin posted the first posting on this thread. She and I are business partners and we have a machine together that is up and running currently. We have the Riello (Italian) machine. I'm very curious to see what happens with the hearing tomorrow. I'm just trying to stay positive and hope that some good will come of this whole ordeal.
I'd like to try to help you, but I don't know if I'll be of much help. Did you ever get installed? Meaning, when you received your machine, did an installer set anything up for you? Or did you just get the machine and nothing else?
Has anyone else heard if there is going to be some kind of tech support for those of us who have machines in the future? I read on a seperate posting that some of the ex techs that used to work for UTech might be forming a group to help us.

Please respond Erin

Erin,
Glad to hear your machine is up and running. Is it a Riello machine?
I also have received a machine recently without technical support. I need help in getting my machine up and running.
AED et al is still in business because it hasn't been liquidated by the FTC. But there is a hearing tomorrow that may change this.
Also Riello is aware of what's going on, but they can't do anything until AED et al is liquidated.
Please respond.
