So the car I ultimately bought turned out to be a good car.  My main issue with this business is that they didn't hesitate to lie.  Though I anticipated it upon walking in seeing signs on the wall saying "WE DO NOT HONOR VERBAL AGREEMENTS"  I may have the wording wrong, but that's essentially what they said.

I found the car I liked and was planning on bringing it to a shop to look it over for hidden damage the next day.  They kept telling me it was a waste of time and money "we've already had it inspected."  Of course I wasn't going to listen to them.

They had me sign a paper to hold the car which also had a place to put my credit card number.  I was reluctant to put it on there and said so.  "We won't charge it.  It's just so we have this paper here showing we have this car on hold for you and can't show it to other people."  I planned on buying it so long as it checked out with my mechanic the next day.  I wasn't planning on dragging the process on for a few days or anything.  They charged $500.00 a few days later I noticed on my online statement.  It was refunded, but they said it wouldn't be charged at all.

It checked out the next day with the mechanic and I bought the car.  Months later it turns out there was slight body damage from someone trying to break in on the driver's side before I bought it.  Not a major issue but sometimes a little water leaks in.  Hard to say whether or not they knew about that though.  Wasn't extremely noticeable.  I will have to take it to a body shop if I ever want to get it repaired though.  I haven't looked to see how much that would cost me yet.

Also check out everything that they claim comes with the vehicle.  To date I don't think I overlooked anything they advertised came with the car.  The one thing I noticed was keyless entry.  I inquired about it and they had only one key with no keyless entry.

They signed a written agreement that they would get that taken care of for me.  I stopped by two weeks later and they said that they'll have it soon.  I stopped by two weeks after that and he gives me a key to take to the dealership.  The key was already cut and of course not even for my car.  He was just trying to get me out of his hair I'm sure.

I go to the dealer for my first oil change and some free recalls that hadn't been performed yet.  Requested a keyless entry key.  $140.

It's a used car dealership.  Don't believe a word they say.  They seem to have good inventory and good prices if you shop around, but get the car checked out.  My car is pretty good aside from that body damage I mentioned earlier.  Who knows if other buyers will be so lucky.

Actually, that is an unusual thing to find at a used car dealer.  99% of the auto sales complaints that reach this board are from naive folks who believed the sales staff would honor verbal agreements.   The really shady dealers want their customers to believe that they will honor verbal agreements,,,until the contract is signed .
