After numerous attempts to resolve our problems with the furniture we purchased 5-29-06.
1st repair attempt on 6-25-06 repairman didn't show up.
With Lane and or American Furniture delaying us right from the start, The repairs over time were scheduled way out and not in a timely manner.
Both American Furniture and Lane Furniture keep tossing the blame back and forth and not resolving the problem.
Now we are being blamed for the breakage of the furniture. There are only 2 adults in this house. We are not over weight and do not abuse our furniture.
We are getting more of the same now.
There have been 4 service technitions to our home to repair this furniture. We were refused the number for American Furniture district office or owner, we were told we did not need that.
Calls are not being returned on a regular basis.
One repair company (John Perez) refused to give us a copy of a work order that he filled out and asked us to sign. We thought we would get a copy and don't really know what we signed.
We have got the run around for a long time now and been lied to more than enough. Our backs are hurting from sitting in this furniture.
Mechanism not working smoothly, stuffing falling out, very poor quality foam, black marks on carpet from mechanism. Lost seat support very quickly.
This furniture is garbage. We would never use Lane Furniture or American Furniture Galleries again. I requested a different recliner and was refused.
Manager said, they want to fix it. That was 2 months ago.
We were told that the parts were ordered and when they came in we would get a call to set up repairs.
We are now being told, we are out of warranty and will have to pay for the service to repair it.

Lane gives refund. No thanks to American furniture

After a break down in communication with American Furniture Galleries we tried to call Lane Furniture to get some help with our furniture.
After severly calls to a manager that NEVER returned our calls we found the fax number to a Lane Furniture CEO. We faxed a letter to CEO. At first we did not get a responce so we faxed it again day after day for a week until finally the original manager we called., called us back. She agreed to a refund but American Furniture Galleries had to pick up the damaged furniture for our refund. American furniture charged us another delivery charge of $79.00 to pick up the lousy furniture they had delivered to us.
We will never shop at American Furniture Galleries again. They like to postpone repairs until your warranty runs out to make you pay for the repairs. terrible customer service.
