American Grant Services It is a SCAM!!! Will charge $249.95 for a loan that you will never receive Ripoff New York New York

Approximately March 21, 2006 I was contacted by an individual from American Grant Services. I was told that I could receive a $9000 dollar government loan at a 2.9 fixed interest rate and payback would not start until 2018. All I would have to pay would be $249.95 for interest. Also, I was informed that I would receive paperwork in the mail approximately 15 working days after my account was debited and I would need to sign and return to have the funds debited to my account. Well needless to say my account was debited on March 29, 2006 and here it is April 26, 2006 and I have yet to receive anything through the mail. I contacted them on thursday. april 20, 2006 and again on friday, april 21, 2006. On both occasions I requested that they return my call due to the fact that the funds had been debited from my account and yet I had received no paperwork. It is interesting to note that the both times I had contacted them my phone I was using my home phone and yet when I called them this morning (Wednesday, April 26, 2006) I used my cellphone (the number which was originally called) and the phone was picked up directly. The individual I spoke with stated that they had sent the required paperwork the the wrong zipcode and it had been returned. He then told me that the paperwork was sent out on the 28th of April when I told him that the 28th was not here yet he stated that he was looking at the calendar wrong and it was actually sent out on the 21st of April. In ending I do not believe that there is an American Grant Services out there and that this is a scam being run by several individuals. If there had been something out there at the time they called me I would not have fallen into this scam due to the fact that I did use the internet for searches on American Grant Services. For those of you who have lost funds to this scam it is highly unlikely to have these funds returned; however, I would suggest filing complaints with every agency that will take complaints of this type; such as the Attorney General for your perspective state, the Federal Trade Commission and the Better Business Bureau. Hopefully, these postings will warn the next consumer prior to taking a risk such as this.
