We bought GAP insurance for our ride with the understanding it was to cover the difference between what we might owe the bank compared to what we would get from our primary insurance coverage in case of totaling our car.
Unfortunately, this winter I hit a patch of Black ice and did total the car.Our main insurance company screwed us first and then these guys come along to finish us off.
We had a difference of $1,400.00 owing the bank and these guys are going to pony up a whole $11.46. Isn't that just swell of them ?I will be calling them and appealing the decision.
I am also going to contact Allstate Financial (The good hands people), the company AHIS is underwriting these GAP insurance contracts for.
As well as the auto dealer I bought the rig through seeing as their finance guy explained to us what the "extra" coverage would do for us in case of an accident.
