I was called into an interview the same as most, however I will say that I do not have the same experiences with the company as any of the people on here. What I understood from the director in Queens, when I went into their final, when I mentioned that I had seen some things on the internet.

He told me that each agency runs itself and that just like a manager or owner in any business they will run things differently. What I can tell you from my experience was that they were very up front. They didn't sell a pie in the sky type situation. They must have mentioned hard work at least five times when they were telling a few of us about the company.

I went on interviews with Met and New York life and it was just like they said, list family and friends and they will provide you with a draw and they encourage you to do that to see the difference in companies. I had a friend that worked for Met and read their listings on here and you'll see what I mean. At least here their up front and they do give you some type of lead.

Now I didn't take the position, but I do respect the director in the area because he was so up front about the whole situation and told me when I mentioned not wanting to do certain things that I should probably look into other areas and even helped me in doing that. They seem to care about their people and all I can say is that their Queens and Brooklyn dividion seem to be very up front about the opportunity and want their people to succeed.

If not he would have only have told me what I wanted to hear and then this report would be very different. So in closing if you do go in to an interview with the Pappas agency and like the position I believe they will do all they can to help you succeed. I am working for a bank now and making actually $28,000, but I am out of college and if I do want to get into sales I will be calling them back but for right now I'm enjoying the summer.

First off please send me all those schools in the New York area that have a class for $160. Pohs and AD banker are anywhere from $290-$310. Then try to register and see when you get in. They have a school there because it's more personalized training and it's an outside school that conducts the classes.

Your right they don't pay for the class because it's your license and the only investment that you have to make for the company besides your time. The reason the company does not pay is because they have spent money for office space deskes and materials to make sure that people have a better chance of passing, some other companies might pay but who do they have teaching the class and when do you get your leads. If you want to have to sighn up your family and friends then go ahead make their day.
This company dosn't want them they want someone that will work hard, is looking for an opportunity, and has no problem making an investment in their future. You didn't even take the position and you have so much to say it's rediculous. The director that we have in NYC right now is very up front let's you know exactly what you need to succeed and if you want to take it some where else there is no problem.

This job requires work and dedication if your not ready for that or have an ivy leage education thats great but many of us don't and the opportunity here is great especially if you want to get into management. So have fun working at a bank etc. for $40,000 a year with a raise every six months or so. There is no limit here the harder you work the more money you make and their are people that care if you do. With that it is not for everyone but for someone that dosn't mind a little hard work it's a good career.

As far as those much better companies I was at one of the biggest in the industtry and take their free training and money as long as you don't want a career or don't want to sell all your family and friends because they are not spending any money in getting you people to call, and the fee your talking about is back in your pocket with your first sale. So take all the free stuff you want like your moma told you theres nothing for free. Here their at least up front with you.
