American InterContinental University, Online ripoff. con, lied to, unorganized, dishonest, unwilling to work with you to solve things Hoffman Estates Illinois

I started filling out paperwork to go to AIU online 2 weeks before class started. I was tricked into their bussiness program when I wanted graphic arts. When I say my list of classes for the whole two years (later) I only had two art classes. That was NOT what I signed up for. I wanted to withdraw after one week of online schooling, the students were not at a college level and the assignments were retaurded. Things I had done in jr. high. I emailed my student rep asking to withdraw. He never replied. I called him with no answer for a week. I only turned in one assignment and particapated in one class but by the time I was able to get ahold of someone to tell them I didn't want to go to that school they told me it had been a month and I couldn't withdraw, I'd have to quit. So I did, because my grant should have coverd the 25% of my class that I owed. One class is not 1200, but they are telling me that I did not have a grant, which I did because I saw it posted on my account, and that I now I owe them over $1200.

Im 21 years old, I'm a US Army vet, and I'm trying to get a REAL education at a local university and I can't because of AIU's bull. They are trying to put this on my credit and I've tried to work with them. They wont help me and now they are saying that the student rep I had never even worked with there, or they don't know who he is. I can't find anyone who can help me. I can't afford to pay them money that I do not owe. I work part time drawing caricatures on the beach, I can't barely afford to eat! I feel that I don't owe them anything because I was only in class one week, the school wasn't what they said it was, the class wasn't what I was told it was going to be, the whole course wasn't what I was told it would be, they lied about my grant money, and no one would return my phone calls when I wanted out.
