AMERICAN LOAN RESTRUCTURING LLC ALR FLR or FHN or Steve Taplin Stole 3,000 dollars and refused to refund my money. Steve Taplin (owner) could not modify my mortgage loan and refuses to give my money back. I am broke and loosing my house. Scottsdale Arizona

 I signed a contract with ALR to do a loan modification on my first mortgage. The cost was 3,000 dollars. If the loan could not be modified, I would receive 2,200 back. The 800 dollars was for a processing fee. This contract was signed May 25th, 2009. Steve Taplin (Owner) said that the modification can take up to 120 days to get the loan modified. 

Well during the process the lack of communication and follow up was completely unacceptable from ALR. Numerous times I left voice mails and e-mails and still received no response from ALR. After all of this my loan was declined by B of A. I received a letter from B of A and it was also posted on there website (DECLINED).  

I contacted Steve Taplin and again had to leave numerous voice mails and e-mails. I demanded a full refund of my money. According too the contract and there website 100% satisfaction guaranteed. Finally Steve replied via e-mail and stated that I was not entitled to a refund because I chose not to continue with the modification. I explained to Steve that his contract states that if I am denied a modification that I would receive 2,200 dollars back. Yes I am choosing the stop the modification because I was DENIED. I have proof and a letter in my hand from B of A that I was denied. Not sure what he does not understand about that, its simple, I was denied and I want my money back. He tried to tell me that 80% always get denied the first time around. I said that I dont care I want my money back. Well we are going on two weeks now and he will not return my phone calls.
