American Modern Select Insurance AKA Homefirst Agency Roof damage caused from storm 2 1/2 weeks ago and no response Maryville Tennessee

I filed a claim with this insurance company on February 11 due to a bad storm that left me with roof damage which extends the entire length of my home. One week later, the insurance company sent a claims adjuster.

I left several messages for my contact person at the Insurance company and never recieced a return call. I was able to speak to her today and her response was that she was out of the office last week and they have had computer problems and can't upload the pictures that the adjuster sent regarding my home. I asked if perhaps that adjuster should send them by overnight mail since this is, after all, my roof!

The woman was so rude I could not believe it. Her name is Tellie Parker. I found out the hard way that this Insurance Company is owned by Clayton Homes, the very same company that I bought my house from. They are HORRIBLE! If you have this insurance, cancel it! Go to State Farm or anywhere but these people. I have roof damage that they can't seem to get around to fixing and the rain keeps coming and the snow keeps falling and all because this company has a computer problem, I can't get help! Nothing but a rip off that I had to learn the hard way at a time when I needed them most.

It's now been 13 days with an exposed roof and still no help from this bunch of incompetent people who are supposed to be there to help you when you need them. When I told them that I was going to hire someone to come and cover the roof to protect the inside of my house, Ms. Parker said I could do that but she was not paying for it. So I guess I should just let the rain fall on my children and hope for the best?? Idiots! And the customer service attitude is something no one should have to endure. No different than Clayton Homes.
