American National Bank Texas stole money from my account and when i complained about it they closed my account Terrell Texas

WARNING....American national bank will rip you off and when you go and complain about it they will then close your account and tell you its all your fault and tell you they are not here to please everyone!!!!!

I had money stolen from my account with no notice and was sent a letter the day the money was taken out that the reason they took the money was because of an account that my deceased mother in law had there was overdrawn. My mother passed away 12-26-2007.My wife went to the bank a month later with the death certifacate and closed the account and there was a zero balance.

Now a year and a half later they take money from my account because they said we never closed the account out but yet they had notations about my wife coming and closing it out but it never got done so there trying to make me pay for overdraft fees my wife was on her moms account as a signer.

When we went to the bank and ask why we were being charged after the account they said because we never closed the account wich we did they just dont want to admit they made a mistake.We ask them what the fees were for and they said it was to long ago they could not tell us????
WHAT...You want me to pay but you cant tell me what it was for.

Well instead of losing my account i went ahead and paid the fees 100% in full.The next thing i know 3 days later they close my account when i ask why i was told they did not like that i complained about it.

Another thing that i find funny was if i owed this money then why did they never try to reach me or send me a letter they never once sent me or my wife a letter until after they took the money from my account.

Like i said i paid the fees that were 100% not my fault and still lost my account!!!
