IS THERE NOT A PRIVACY LAW WHICH PROTECTS MY INFORMATION FROM BEING OFFICE GOSSIP OR THE JOKE OF THE DAY?
I recently attempted to refinance my house I contacted American Premier Lending somewhere between April 10-16, at which point I was referred to Russell Dusza he assured me he would be able to get it done he also stated that I should not submit with other companies because it would lower our score he even offered to come and pick up my documentation - which he stated must be originals only.
I explained I was very un easy with giving him my original house, land and personal documents he explained that this was standard procedure and the only way he could get this refinance processed in a speedy manner.( So he was gracious enough to meet me and pick up my paper work)
Towards the end of April I had given up hope he still had not gotten anything done so I called him and explained that our mortgage was about to be 30 days past due and I did appreciate his help however I was going to give up on this venture.
when he called me back he stated he could get this done I reiterated that our mortgage was going to be 30 days past due and I could not see wasting any more of mine or his time on it he reassured me he would get it done I explained that if it was not doable I could not afford to pay for a appraisal, he said he would check in to the value of the area and order a appraisal.
I suggested the last appraiser we used so he submitted a order to her and he told me it should only be a few days after he receives the appraisal and we would be able to close. I explained if it was not done fast we would have a 1x 30 on our credit he assured me it would only be a few days after the appraisal came in for us to close. I asked again what about the mortgage being late he said not to worry it would not be a problem.
On May 2, 2006 the appraisal came back and on May 5, 2006 he called and said we really needed to make the house note to speed up the process I explained we were unable to do that he said he would still be able to get it done but it would be more work he even assured me if he couldn't get it done he would reimburse the money for the appraisal.
so we waited -every day there was a new excuse whether it was because the bank had not gotten back to him or he had other clients to assist I finally went to his office on May 18 , 2006 and requested my documentation at which point he showed me the approval with the list of stipulations from the bank and assured me it would only be about 2 more days and we would be able to close so with high hopes I waited.
well another week passed and still nothing so I called and left him a few lengthy messages requesting my paperwork back he finally returned my call and agreed to bring me my paper work then he called me back and wanted to mail it I explained I did not want it mailed in fear of it getting lost at which point I arraigned for my sister in law to pick it up from him.
when I received my folder my land survey and several other documents were missing so I called him again and he said they had been left behind in the file and he would take them to my sister in law.
a week later she still had not received them so I called him back and explained to him I would be picking them up at which point during conversation he found it amusing to tell me that there rep from Accredited Lending was in the office and she thought it appropriate to mention that our file had come across her desk again and that we were shopping for another lender.
Russell thought nothing of telling me that the whole office were all laughing there behinds off at how much our credit scores had dropped and that we had submitted it to 4 other companies. he thought it amusing that we had not gotten anything at which I explained the biggest mistake I made was contacting him and that I would appreciate my land survey back and he never contact me again. he continued to laugh and get even more rude at which point I just hung up .
IS THERE NOT A PRIVACY LAW WHICH PROTECTS MY INFORMATION FROM BEING OFFICE GOSSIP OR THE JOKE OF THE DAY? MOST DEFINETLY THERE IS! NOW THE ONLY QUESTION IS WILL ANY ONE ACTUALLY DO THERE JOB AND STOP PEOPLE LIKE RUSSELL DUSZA AND THIS REP FROM ACCREDITED FROM BREAKING THE LAW.
