American Public Life Insurance Company Ripoff refused to pay $25.00 copayment for office visit Jackson Mississippi

I purchased medical coverage in Sept/04 from this company. They charge $89.95 per month for this coverage, with an extra $100 to open the account. The copayment is $35.00 to be paid at the doctor's office, and American Public Life Ins is supposed to refund $25.00 of that $35.00.

Their reason for refusing to pay is because "services were rendered prior to the policy's effective date". This is a total lie, because I obtained coverage on 9/7/04, and my doctor's appointment was on 9/13.

The policy was effective, because they sent me a medical card, which I presented at the time of the appointment.

I sent them a letter on 12/16/04, and to date, they have not replied. This IAB Health Care, which is the actual company issuing the card, neglected to tell me that their coverage is limited to 5 doctor visits per year, and I was also told that IAB pays 50% of ALL RX's. That is a total lie, they pay about $20.00 on Rx's, and that is all. This company is a total rip-off.
