AMERICAN TAXI DISPATCH... TERRIBLE TO WORK FOR ... SEXUALLY HARRASSES DRIVERS.

I began driving for American Taxi about 2 weeks ago, due to the fact that I was laid off of my previous job with the Illinois Tollway.  After finding an ad online that seemed to be a great opportunity, I met with Mike and filled out an application in their Mt. Prospect Office. Soon after I received a phone call that I was chosen to be a new driver, I would have to pay for my training and then would be allowed to drive for the company.  

Well they skipped my training, took my deposit money and had me meet Mike at a nearby Automotive Garage to pick up my taxi on a Saturday Afternoon.  I was instructed to get in the passenger seat and Mike said that he would review the manual and instructions with me because I wasn't like most drivers... He said that I looked very smart and since I was pretty I should have no problem with driving a Taxi for them. 

After an awkward 2 hours of driving around with this guy I was given the taxi to take home... with a promise that the money would just be rolling in and I was ready to drive.  I was completely unprepared and had to struggle just to make $10 in 2 days.  

I called Mike and explained to him that this wasn't working out and he said he would take time to go over some of the computer system and explain further.  So I stopped at the a  the American Taxi Office and spoke with the Manager Mike once again.  He was very persistant to help me and said I just needed some tips on the computer and their zones.  I thought I would at least try it because they had already soaked up all of the extra cash I had. 

Once in the car, Mike told me that the only way to make it at their company was to use the assets I had to get by and put his hand on my leg.  I was disgusted and he knew it by the look on my face.  I threw the keys at him and got out of the taxi.  I warned him that I would let the proper authorities know about his actions and I have.  Furthermore, I would never recommend this company to anyone to work for or to take their taxi's.  They are discriminatory and sexually harrassing and it will not be tolerated.  They took my money and tried to take my dignity.
