January 1 of 2015, we contacted an organization on the web called Prohold. Bernard Varnau responded as the representative from Prohold / American Workholding. We described our needs which involved developing hydraulic tombstones and the integration of the hydraulic controls to our Horizontal machine. Bernard presented a solution, a price, and we agreed to the program. It was not significantly different than the other 3 quotes we had obtained. Bernard himself, came to our factory, for a down payment to get started, which we provided at the end of January. during the next few months we contacted him periodically to check on progress. He gave vague updates, but said he was on schedule to make the April 10th due date. I pursued him for pictures, to help verify the progress, and at times it was like pulling teeth.

We were sent some part pictures, but it always took 2 to 3 weeks of back and forth to get anything from him. April came, and he said he was going to be late. One excuse he made, was that he was liasing with the robotic organization. We asked him not to do that, as that was not part of the contract.

Another excuse he made was that a coated part had a mark, and he wasn't sure if he should use it. All of these pieces were going inside a machine, holding metal, and to be splashed with coolant. Bottom line, a mark doesn't matter, it was just another excuse. On June 17th, in an email, Bernie promised"the fixtures will be delivered to your floor July 10th or sooner barring an acto fo God".  It did not happen.

Finally, we turned to our lawyers, who contacted Bernie. He told them he could "guarantee delivery by end of August/first week of September". He did not make it, and will not return their calls. This guy is a fraud and dishonest. Do not do business with this person. We are pursuing legal action against him.
