America's Best Value Inn & Suites The worst possible stay in Starkville, Mississippi

The room was $80, so the expectations were relatively high for the price of a motel chain with all exterior doors for the price.  The ceiling tiles in the bathroom looked like they could fall any moment and they were stained brown.  When we arrived there were to linens other than bedding in the room.  The carpet had not been vacuumed in several days.  The pillows were flat and flimsey and the toilet did not rest on the seal in the floor and you would almost fall off the toilet when trying to get up.  The outside coke machine took our money.

The morning of checkout, I went to the office to ask for towels and the clerk said she would bring them to my room.  The parking lot was less than half full the night before.  When the clerk brought towels all they had were hand towels with no bath towels.  We all chose to not take showers because the bathroom was disgusting and the towels were hand towels.  This lodging experience was brutal.
