I have a loan from Americredit for my car.  The price of the car was $12,000 and with 8 payments left I have already paid for my car twice over.  I am having difficulty paying my payments right now since my hours at work were cut and the company is ridiculous.

I have talked to them and they offered to defer my payments but then after you say yes that would be great they tell you there is a higher payment due to do this.  What is the poiint of deferring your payments if they are going to tack on an extra couple hundred dollars to the already obnoxious amount of your loan?!

Also, they start calling you the day your payment is due and they call at least 6 times a day.  They continue to call every day and also call anyone they can to extort information out of them about you.  They called my daughter and grilled her with about a thousand questions about our address, phone numbers, work numbers and company names, etc.  I don't think that this should  be right in any way shape or form.

I visited this site to see if there were any lawsuits against them because I would gladly join a group to sue them.  What is the point of a company that "helps" people with bad credit get back on track if they are clearly not doing that.  They charge ridiculously high interest rates and the payments are soooo high that when you get into trouble it's impossible to recover.  They don't reward you with any interest rate breaks over the years to show you are doing good or anything.  I thought that there was a law against predatory loans and I clearly believe that this company qualifies as a predatory lender.

I hope someone will start a lawsuit and have something done about this fraud of a company before any more people are put through the stress and financial burden the rest of us have already had to suffer at their hands.  The customer service agents also have no hearts and it must be a job qualification they look for when hiring.  None of them understand any hardship at all and they make that abundantly clear when you talk to them.

Nothing in your report supports your claim of fraud. In the title you accused them of theft and lying but your complaint does not support that claim either. You agreed to the terms of the loan. The high interest rate is a reflection of your poor credit history.

Perhaps you should consider accepting responsibility for your poor credit rating and failure to honor your financial commitments.
