Amerigas Propane Co. Charged us $6.81/ gal. our last bill and has charged us more than $4.74/ gal. for over 1.5 yrs. Westlake, Ohio

Westlake Sportsman's Association, was billed by Amerigas for propane. Amerigas had charged us $6.809/ gal. for 246 gals. The total bill came to $1797.82 after they add the tax, fuel recovery fee, and Hazmat surcharge.

In looking over previous bills (back to 5-16-08) I see that we have been over charged for our last 7 bills (and very possibly before this also, but I do not have reciepts before the 5/08). The last 7 bills we have been charged per gal. the following rates (in parenthesis is the average price at that time for ohio): 5-16-08= $474/gal.($3.85), 12-08-08= $4.74/gal.($1.54), 2-11-09= $4.84/gal.($1.85), 3-19-09= $4.84/gal.($1.80), 6-8-09= $5.14/gal.($2.55), 12-10-09= $5.55/gal.($2.50), 1-26-10= $6.81/gal.($2.50)

As you can see this is a royal ripoff. In calling some of the other propane companies in the area, I recieved quotes for as low as $1.90/gal (for new customers- Linden Propane) to as high as $2.39 (for long term customers-Sunrise Propane). Other companies fell between these prices.
