What Used To Be Ameriquest Noe Is / Taken Over By HSBC Change of Terms without Notification of consumer Baltimore Maryland

To start with, I got a loan with Ameriquest for $1900 to through a promotion contact by them. After I receive the first bill I realize that they charged an advance fee. Their promotion offering did not clearly show and specify this ( i looked at it and read every word repeatedly for two hours just to make sure). So hell, I forgive and forget and go on. Being overwhelmed with everything , I rarely look at my statements.

I though actively watch for any correspondence indicating any change of terms. I always thought they are a bunch of thieves as the interest rate was high but recently after the prime rate went to null and the published prime rate was about 4+%, I still see that I am paying 14.99% interest, so I pull the original agreement which is by now 4 years old and see that my agreement with them is published prime rate + 4.74% which means that the interest I am paying them should be around 9% and not 15%. Being deaf, I try to find means to email them, and guess what ( no correspondence through email ). I call and complain. They say they can't take complaints and I have to write to them. So I write them a letter , explain that at no time I have received any change of terms and request that they close my account and credit it retroactively based on the agreement they had with me originally when the account was established.

A month goes by and I receive no correspondence so I wonder if they just tossed my letter. I call and ask for the status of my account and they said the account is closed . They just closed the account and issued $5 credit. So I figure these b**tards conned me out of probably several hundred dollars if not more.

This is crap. You got a bunch of thieves sucking it out of people, and now they want to be rescued!

There should be a system in place that holds these bastards responsible for their actions . I figure I got two choices , pay them off or give them my middle finger and let them run after me for the next 20 years . I might just give them the finger even though it would mean that my credit will be tarnish.
