I own a small logistics brokerage and was using AmeriSource Funding to fund my carriers until I had enough reserves to fund my carriers myself. AmeriSource would call my customer to confirm load amount, for some reason my customer(s)did not like the "Micro" managing that AmeriSource did, like send them 5-7 emails a day and also call and demand that they confirm.  Finally my customer called asked me what would it take to get AmeriSource out of the picture completely because they like dealing with me but not AmeriSource.  Both my customer and I came to a resolution and I informed AmeriSource, once I did that they became very nasty towards me and their emails/phone calls tripled to my customer.  Our inhouse attorney and the VP from my customer emailed demanding that they stop harassing them.  My customer sent payments to me which I forward to AmeriSource  immediately, then my customer sent all outstanding payments to AmeriSource for them to release the account.  AmeriSource received my customer's final payment 03/11, but placed a 10 day hold on the account "to make sure the check clears" and still won't release my customer.  Today my customer has informed me that due to AmeriSource's unprofessional manner that they cannot do business with my company until they have a release letter from AmeriSource.  AmeriSource has refused to release anything, even though the account is paid in full, they won't even release my customer pending the check clearing the bank. They wont release any of my funds either. This has effected my livelihood and the livelihood of my employee's.

POSTED: Tuesday, July 09, 2013

This issue has been resolved.  Final payment on this Client's account was received at Amerisource's payment processing center on March 11, 2013 and was automatically deposited that same day.  The payment was received in the form of a commercial check and was posted and credited to the Client's account that same day.  However, Amerisource was not willing to provide a final release for the client until such check cleared.  The check did clear three days later on March 14, and the final release was provided to the client later that same day on March 14.  By industry standards, this is an incredibly quick turnaround time for a bank/lender to provide a release to a Client on a final loan payoff.  Most banks and lenders take several weeks to process and file final release paperwork for a final loan payoff.  We always strive to maintain outstanding customer service, and we regret that the Client was not satisfied with our service and turnaround time in this instance.  We wish the Client the best in their future endeavors.
