Ameritrust lending contacts me and proceeds in telling me that I have been approved. I was in need of money bills overwelmed me. I was interested a lady by the name of Christine sent me a contract via fax sounded and looked great. Low interest rate low payments hope was comming my way. Within a couple of hours Christine calls back after I faxed document she states I need to make Collateral Payment and not to worry I will have my loan in 24 hours. Collateral payment was $1291 she had me western union this cash that I had to borrow in return i'm telling my relative that I will pay them back tommorow when my loan shows up in my bank. Well after i wire the money to a Jeanne Fisher in Canada she was suppose to be a private lender for people with not so great credit. I get a call from a Paul Meyers saying that I need to wire 300 more in order to get my loan. I told him just wire my money back I don't have another 300 he said that I would get it back on the 29th of the month that is the day they due refunds well it's 12-11-07 there number is not working and I still don't have my money.

You are unfortunately the latest victim of a long running scam.

As you have already discovered, they are long gone and have moved on to scam other people.

What you need to do is contact your state's attoney general's office. They should be able to provide you with some guidance on what you need to do. You are out more than just money at this point.

You are probably not going to get any of the money back. The one thing you need to be aware of is that all your personal information is now compromised. Keep a close watch on your accounts. If they don't use the information you gave them they could easily sell it on a list with other people's information to some other unscrupulous scammers.
