Ample Storage Geer Street unauthorized use of debit card Durham North Carolina

Ample Storage made an authorized payment on my debit card. I haved used my debit card to pay for my storage on occasion, but I never gave them permission to keep my card on file to automatically use to pay for my storage each month. I was planning to go to Ample storage to make my last payment in cash on March 19, 2005 and to get my things out of the storage since I just moved. I called my bank to check up on my account to see if my card was credited back some money that was owed to me from another company. When I called to see about my account I found out that it was a negative balance in my funds. I called customer service to see where it came from and was informed that Ample storage had deducted $92.00 on March 18, 2005.

I called Brenda, the resident mamger, to see why my card was charged and she got very, very rude and told me that the person in the office ran my card through. I asked why and explained that I did not call to give anyone permission to run my card through. She told me that she did not understand why the person in the office would do that if I did not call to give authorization. I told her that I did not appreciate that someone did that. She went on about how she was on vacation and that it was nothing she could do. Then she went on to say that she would put a lock on my things and was just very rude. I told her that if she put a lock on my things after her company already used my card without my permission that I would send the cops up there when I come to get my things. She displayed rudeness and bad customer service ethnics. I told her that I would report her to the better business and seek legal representation.
