Anchor Trust sent a letter to me stating "Final Notice" -I am a winner of the "All American Sweepstakes Drawing" for a prize amount of "$150,000! Enclosed was a check drawn on "Germania Insurance" of Brenham, TX for $3,450 - and all I have to do is cash the check and send the tax money of $2,999 to Joyce Brown, the tax agent. But first, I need to contact my claims agent, Julie Winfrey.

They requested the money be sent via Western Union or Money Gram - that way you're the one left holding the bag (i.e. owing your bank the money you wire transfered) when the check fails to clear or is determined fraudulent, which it most certainly is.

Although the check appears to be legitimate, it is not. Don't be fooled by this scam or others like it!
