The website above advertises to sell wood carving system, Carvewright Woodworking, for only $550.00 plus $150.00 for s/h. After I ordered the item, I was contacted via email to pay for the item via Western Union.
After I wired him the money, I followed up with an email and asked for a confirmation, but never got it. I contacted him, but no response. I went back to the website and contacted via their contact info provided on the web, but no response. I then went to talk to the local Western Union rep and asked if I could get my money back, but was discovered that he picked up the money and Western Union will not refund me. The local rep helped file a report to the fraud protection and suggested that I also file a complaint to the local police department in order for me to get my money back. I figued my problem is international and the local police probably does not have anything to do with international issues so I did not file. In addition, what the Western Union rep told me (file with the local police to get my money back) does not make any sense.

Dear Ripoff Report and Scam Victim,
I'm NOT the Andre Siagian mentioned in the scam report. I'm an entrepreneur based in Michigan who has nothing to do with the business aforementioned. I run a restaurant-related mobile application startup called Kuzines and an export venture called Indonesia Strategic Ventures.
Nevertheless, this report has been showing up on search engine listing for my full name since I have the same name of Andre Siagian (and not a very common name in the US). This report may have been severely damaging my online reputation despite the ZERO connection between me and the scammer. I hope Ripoff Report can do something about this or if the scam victim can take the report down or at the very least be more detailed in explaining who the scammer is (i.e. company name and other descriptions).
I understand how devastating it is to be scammed by an irresponsible person like the aforementioned scammer, but I hope the victim can be gracious to let this issue from 5 years ago pass and help someone who's not related to this scam at all (i.e. me) to be free from collateral damages. As a fledgling entrepreneur, my reputation may determine the life and death of my business ventures.
