This Ripoff Report Complaint is about Citizens Disability, LLC in Waltham, Massachusetts (herein 'CD'). I went to these people thinking they were my best option for filing for desperately needed disability insurance. The issues began, which I was not aware of until later, during the first intake phone call.
I was offered a special bank account through a company which they told me was US Bank (which turned out to be a company called "Payment Concepts"). They did NOT tell me it was NOT a checking account. They did NOT tell me the trouble and aggravation I would have to go through if I wanted to access my disability money. They also said their fee would be 25% of my first check.
Time went on, at a snail's pace. I could not help but feel that CD was dragging it's collective feet on this case (after all, the longer it is delayed, the bigger their cut). Well, by the Grace of God my disability was approved in short order (because my case is THAT serious). As I began to inquire about benefit funds and the "Payment Concepts" bank account, I discovered that I would be issued a "debit card" only, NO CHECKS of my own to write to pay rent and bills, but that THEY controlled everything and if I wanted a check I had to call them and ask them. WOW! Oh, but wait, it gets better…
I spoke with Social Security. An unnamed source informed me that these disability advocates "hijack the claims". I was exceptionally distraught at that point. I called CD to inform them we really needed to part ways. The representative on the phone told me "You didn't HAVE to register for the bank account. You could've said no." How about THAT for customer service? I WAS IN THE WRONG apparently!
Now, the good news is, ALL THESE CALLS ARE RECORDED by CD for "quality assurance". So I am ever so delighted that they can go back and listen to their very own lies and deception and I will be proved right.
Lo, and behold as I searched throughout the internet I found this Ripoff Report on CD:
Again, my stomach sank. I REALLY need to check Ripoff Report before doing business with people.
I am in the middle of thoroughly investigating this company and will post updates here on this Report with everything I discover. In the meantime, as is my right under the Constitution of the United States of America, I STRONGLY DISCOURAGE trusting this company with your LIFE SAVINGS! Stay tuned and please keep checking back!

I am pleased to report that Citizens Disability appears at this stage to have done what it takes to rectify a wrong.
Such misunderstandings occur. People disagree. People miscommunicate.
Once I am awarded benefits unhampered, I will follow up yet again in this report to solidify their commitment to 100% Consumer Satisfaction.
Thank you Ripoff Report for being INDESPENSIBLE to consumer advocacy and fighting for our free speech!
Three cheers for Ed!

UPDATE II

An attorney called me from Citizens Disability at 1513 hours Eastern Time. I immediately informed him that I was recording his call before we moved forward with the conversation and asked his permission. He denied that permission and the call was mutually terminated.
Why is it okay for Citizens Disability to record the CONSUMER, but the consumer cannot record THEM?

Update I

I was informed hours ago that a supervisor was going to call me back to hear my grievance. No one did, so I called Citizens Disability back and spoke with "Rahim".
He was incredibly condescending, claiming that because I won my claim that CD did such a great job; failing to realize that the SEVERITY OF MY CONDITION prompted Disability to act so swiftly.
It is amazing how low the bar has fallen for customer service. I am hoping to hear from the CEO, Andrew S. Youngman. I asked to speak to yet another supervisor, higher than "Rahim".
I am happy to keep the public updated, both positive and negative, during this process. I am just pleased that I have taken control of this narrative before they can spin it another way. All their calls are recorded by them. They make this clear with every phone call. And phone transcripts can be subpoenaed.
