On my birthday, I decided to treat myself by buying something nice on ebay. I purchased 4 blouses from screen name: gardenofyves. The listing said that they were "Plus Size 2X," which is the size I wear.

The first thing that annoyed me was that she charged me almost $16 in shipping to send 13 oz. of clothing stuffed into a plastic envelope.

Second, I opened the package and pulled the shirts out to try them on. I couldn't even get them on. They were so tiny I couldn't get them over my shoulders. When I went looking for a tag to verify that I had been sent the correct sizes, I found that there were no size tags in any of the blouses. The brand tags were there, but no size tags. My mother is a size 8. She could barely get them on, and then they were skin tight. The only one that they fit was my friend, who is a size 2.

Also, the listing said the condition of the shirts was "New With Tags." There were no tags on these shirts. The seems were uneven. The quality left much to be desired. The shirts looked like the ones you find in those discount outlet stores that sell imperfect merchandise.

When I contacted the seller to attempt to exchange them, her reply was:

"Sorry I am not willing to exchange them. ALL OF THEM HAD TAGS. It's an amazing claim that none of my items had tags. I've sold hundreds and they have had NO COMPLAINTS. So I know what I am doing. Measure yourself, you could possibly need a different size, but I know how many of these I have sold without any problems to have one customer tell me everything is all wrong. I could see if you said an item or two but your claims seems exaggerated and I can not help you."

I was not rude to her. I did not ask for a refund. I just wanted to get the right size. I even offered to take pictures of me, my mother and my friend wearing the shirts so she could see how small they are. I also offered to send her several pictures of the shirts themselves, so that she could see that there were no tags in them. She refused communication.

As for the "NO COMPLAINTS"... Just days ago, another buyer of the same kind of merchandise wrote:

"refused communication/wrong size and NOT new item.BAD! wouldnt buy from again!"

So, I'm not the only one. I was forced to file a claim with PayPal because she refused to exchange them or refund my money. We'll see how that goes though.

I have bought jeans, shirts, belts, shoes, hats, etc. on ebay. They all fit just fine, and I never had any problems with them or the people I bought them from. That's why I have 100% positive feedback. I have never felt so ripped-off by an ebay seller before. BEWARE!

No Refund!!! - Update #2

AUTHOR: Carduo - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, June 23, 2009

I did send out the shirts to shipped back to Ms. Cain via USPS, with a tracking number, as I was instructed to do by PayPal. However, I did not insure the package, and it was lost. The package was never scanned by the local post office, despite my putting it into human hands at the counter. I was on the phone with USPS customer service, the local post office, the regional distribution center and the destination post office trying to track it down for 3 days. They said my only option was to contact the person I sent it to and get confirmation from them that the package was received. So, I tried contacting Ms. Cain. NO LUCK! PayPal couldn't confirm the delivery so my case was closed without refund. Now I'm out the $27 I paid for the items, the $5 I paid to ship the back and the items themselves. Bottom Line... Make sure you insure your packages. Chock this one up to experience.

Refund Update!!! I Love PayPal!!!

AUTHOR: Carduo - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, May 29, 2009

PayPal's buyer protection policy is wonderful! After I filed a dispute about this seller, she immediately escalated it to a claim, meaning she wanted PayPal to investigate the transaction, hoping they'd side with her and refuse a refund. However, since I was polite and offered to send pictures as proof of my claim, they decided in my favor. All I had to do was send the items back and give PayPal the tracking information. FYI: You can print up a shipping label and get free tracking on the USPS website. I sent the package off today and gave PayPal the tracking information. They responded by saying that as soon as they receive confirmation of delivery, I will be issued a refund. I love PayPal!
