Yesterday morning I received a call from a man stating his name was Jason and he was an investigator looking fo my ex wife. I answered the telephone to tell him he had the wrong number. This gentleman proceeded to tell me that he was an investigator with the sheriffs department and that there was already a warrant issued for her arrest for fraud. I told him I was sorry but she did not live with me, we were divorced. He asked me if I would be able to get a message to her stating that if I did not he would have her picked up at her place of work or worse, home in front of my children. I agreed to call her and then call him back.

 I did call her and according to her they had a wonderful threatening conversation. After I spoke to her I called the number back to request that he now had her telephone number so he could please take my number out of his system. When Jason answered the phone he was talking to someone else and stated he had to get off the line to speak to me. It was as if he was trying to make me believe he was talking to someone in the State Attorney's office.

When our conversation started I explained who I was and he then stated the money she wrote her check for was for me and demanded payment from me. I told him that when she wrote the check it was for family and it had been paid for some time. He again started to talk to someone else and told them to quote, "Have them both picked up since he will not cooperate".

I at that point attempted to explain to this rather mis directed young man that if he was referring to me that I would be more than happy to give him my address so the sheriff's deputy could pick me up and I would in turn give them directions to my ex wifes home. I told him it had been a long time since we had been on a road trip together, and since it was forty miles to the jail we could catch up on life. Of course he slammed thew phone down in my ear.

A few hours later someone kept calling my house and hanging up. After a few times I checked the number and of course, It was Smith, Dean & Associates. I called them again and asked for a supervisor and of all people I was pu through to Jason. I told Jason I hoped he would have a great day and that he and his company were frauds and they needed to stop calling my number or I would go to an attorney. He asked who I was and I stated my last name. He then told me he was not a fraud, that my mother was the fraud and i was a #$%*sucker. And of course he slammed the phone down in my ear.

I left the home after this conversation. A funny thing happened, my father called me and stated a young lady from a Smith, Dean & Associates had called his home requesting he contact me as soon as possible. She stated to him that I was not aware of type fact, but they were filing criminal charges against me. My father having worked for the government for more than forty years laughed and told her he would pass the message on. When  i came home I also had a message from her to call right away. Now this company has found a bad check with not only my ex wifes name on it, but one with mine also. It amazes me how thorough this company is.

In my opinion, everyone should start calling them and telling them we are going to file criminal charges against them for fraud and harassment. Lets see how they like it!
